Why is it always Sean?
"Mummy, why didn't you come when SEAN and me were crying last night".
"SEAN has developed a liking for Sea Bass."
"SEAN heard it on the radio".
Where does Amélie feature in this story? At all? Doesn't she ever say anything?

One might be forgiven for thinking that perhaps all they really wanted was a son and heir ...
I wonder if this happens in real life too - with one being talked about more than the other?
I hope not, for both their sakes.

Re: Why is it always Sean?
Don't like to say this but.............
I imagine that Amelie is 'controlled' by her mother possibly constantly 'comparing' her to the 'angel' Madeleine.
"Madeleine wouldn't have done that, Amelie, you naughty girl"
"mummy, mummy, i've baked these cakes"
"But not quite as good as Madeleine would have made them, are they, Amelie?"
It shouldn't 'happen' of course, but we've all been treated to the 'actions' and 'traits' of her mother, for the last 7 years, haven't we?
I especially remember where, on a Mother's Day, where KM got out of her car, with Amelie, and KM 'put' Cuddlecat into Amelie's hand for her to 'papped' going to a church.
Daily Mail, i think.
Amelie might be having to live up to the 'ideal' of what 'our' Madeleine would have been.
Poor, poor, kid, if that's the case, imo.

Re: Why is it always Sean?
@ iris I was thinking exactly the same yesterday and have no idea why Amelie is never spoken about. If Sean supposedly heard it on the radio on the school bus, surely Amelie would have heard it too.
@ kathybelle, I sincerely hope that is not the case, it would be so twisted.

Twisted is synonymous with "the McCanns".
