I would say that Mr. Amaral knows ALL about the case but she sure has nailed it when she says that the UK media have mislead the public.

The Madeleine McCann case is stalling while Scotland Yard grapple for suspects -- and the latest reports are repeating claims made by a woman who may not have even heard anything relevant to the child's disappearance. So why haven't SY officials done looked toward the obvious for answers?
Portuguese officials had once declared Kate and Gerry McCann as suspects in the disappearance of their little girl. At the least they should have been held on neglect charges after it was revealed that they left toddler Maddie alone with her two younger siblings the night she vanished (and obviously this abandonment was a recurring event). Over the course of the investigation it was revealed that cadaver dogs detected human decomposition in the apartment rented by the McCanns. The apartment had no known history of anyone dying in it.
Kate and Gerry are suing Goncalo Amaral for his allegations against them. He investigated their case directly in Portugal and found them suspicious, declared that Madeleine had died by accident. He further declared that Kate and Gerry went to great lengths to coverup Maddie's death by staging this kidnapping hoax. While the UK media refuses to report on the facts, its public are misled and actually believe that this couple are being falsely villified by the prosecutor who knows more about this case than most people.
Scotland Yard must press the parents of Madeleine McCann for information. Kate refused to answer at least 48 questions, acknowledging that her refusal may hinder the search for Maddie. Her odd behavior in the days, weeks, months after Maddie's disappearance must also be questioned. It's time for the UK media to stop treating this case in the downright odd manner it's being treated.
Madeleine McCann deserves justice for whatever actually happened to her.

In my opinion, there will be no justice for Madeleine, while Redwood is in charge of Operation Grange and while Bernard Hogan-Howe, is the head of Scotland Yard.
