Islamic State Invades Central London and Recruits Jihadists in Oxford Circus

Why weren't they arrested? If it was some handing out leaflets against muslims they'd have been arrested immediately.



Supporters of the Islamic State have been attempting to recruit Jihadists in central London by handing out leaflets to Muslims on the capital's busiest streets.

The leaflets, distributed told readers that the "Khilafah [Islamic Caliphate] has been re-established" and ordered them to spread it "across the world."

Readers were also told that Muslims must "obey the Khaleef according to the Shariah" - a reference to Shariah law, a fundamentalist interpretation of Islam which is propounded by the Islamic State, previously known as Isis.

Ghaffar Hussain, managing director of the anti-extremism group Quilliam and contributor to IBTimes UK, told our sister site Newsweek that the group handing out the leafleters were well-known radicals, hailing from the Luton area. He also suggested they are associated with a network known as the al-Muhajiroun.

According to Hussain, the group were handing out leaflets near Oxford Circus, London's key tourist hub and the heart of one of the world's busiest shopping districts. He claims they abused passers-by who confronted them.

Asmaa Al-Kufaishi, a British-Iraqi university student, tweeted images of an Islamist Group canvassing around Oxford Circus, with posters showing the black flags associated with the Islamic State.

"This group, promoting Islamic State on Oxford street, racially abused us. They don't know true Islam," Al-Kufaishi added.

News of the leafleting campaign will concern many given that the Islamic State has garnered a reputation for extreme brutality during its campaign of conquest in Iraq and Syria, during which it has gained control of several key cities.

Hussain said: "This is a very disturbing development but one that should not come as a surprise, since we are aware that around 500 British nationals have joined up with ISIS already.

"We need to have a zero tolerance policy towards ISIS supporters and recruiters in the UK."

OK, if there are people who want to go for this, round'em up, ship'em out and don't let them back in!

This does not come as any surprise to me. I doubt if it does to most people. We have many enemies within and they need to  be dealt with in no uncertain terms.  Anna, what you are saying is the best option.

Yes Angelina you are right in what you say anyone else would be arrested.

Chrissie it is happening in many European countries. France and Germany have big problems. Much of it anti Semitism

I don't know when that will be Angelina maybe when hell freezes over. What is the reason that they let these things go on? Something we do not know about?

I know fuzeta but it just makes me angry.

I think it's just Islamophobia: a fear of upsetting Muslims!

Yes it is and it's wrong. I don't see why they should be singled out for special attention and tip-toeing around.

High time the decent Muslims spoke out against terror and condemned these radical murderers.

Problem is these 'peace loving Muslims' never do.  It brings to mind the old saying   " All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing"   Or something like that

Those peace loving, moderate Muslims benefit from fear of upsetting Muslims too because any criticism of any of them, whether it's a neighbour thing or a school thing, they shout Islamophobia. They say it's just because of those extremists and people think they're all terrorists bla bla bla!

Very true Anna, I amongst others am getting a bit upset myself lately

I posted earlier an article about 2 young women who hid Euros in their knickers to take to the Husband of one of them in Syria. The Wife was found guilty but her friend cleared. That is how vulnerable Britain is and how little we know .
