Re: McCanns Suing Sunday Times
So they are including non positive comments about the article in this suit?
How disgraceful and greedy these two are.
Those two have to be bloody desperate to do this.
In fact ...why aren't they suing MICHAEL WRIGHT for not do his trolling job properly.

Who suppressed the efit?
Who threatened the people or persons who discovered this efit that if they go ahead and bring this efit inti the public domain they would take action?
THE MCCANNS.
Next it will be bloggers they will be suing for not believing them
Problem is Mccanns...there are too many off us.

Re: McCanns Suing Sunday Times
didnt realise this was here so reposted below on here...
They said that the story led to them having “suffered serious damage to their reputations and severe embarrassment and distress”.
IMO..... always ...reputation comes first....its the only thing that disstresses or devastates them...never mind though mccs there there ...money always makes your suffering better........ .
another side of it ......
IMO this could possibly be ...more smoke and mirrors..... reading it again it's all mccSpin...
The article outlines the complaints the mccs filed against The Times. It refers to News Gazette seeing the High Court forms.... but not to hearing High Court action.
It refers to the mccs claiming "unspecified damages"... and reports: "according to publisher News UK the claim has been settled"..... inferring that the mccs won......... however,.....the article is careful to not actually state this.......
It then goes on to sabre rattling, listing the threatening gestures of the plaintiffs- their demands for revision, their dispute of the facts, their invoking of the mighty Carter Ruck-
again, implied that all this took place in a court of law, but interestingly does not state it.....
The inference is that the Macs emerged vindicated......
We've all read the mealy mouthed "apology" printed by The Times at the time. It basically said, right, there's one thing we can't prove, but we stand by the rest of it.

Re: McCanns Suing Sunday Times
I can't see it on the carter ruck site yet.....we will wait and see...
They got their apology but unfortunately for them, everyone and their dog saw the piece and if they think they can stop people speaking their minds....they need to think again.
They may Cameron, MI5/6, Mitchell and the rest off the sychophants I.E. Slippery dick and his sidekick Wobbly Judy on their side. But they need to think...sooner or later, well they already are, they will be on the scrapheap and be way past there sell past date .

Where is the usual: 'all money going to the Fund ..to help the search'?
They are not even pretending anymore that the money goes for the 'search'?

Re: McCanns Suing Sunday Times
Well that would be interesting.
It's a fact they had the efits drawn up
It's a fact they never released them, SY did 5 years later.
It's a fact Martin Smith identified this man as Gerry McCann
It's a fact the Mccanns have released ridiculous efits for years with not one iota of evidence that person was the person who took Madeleine.
So why keep this one quiet?
I do hope this is true, there's no way they would win this, maybe they are hoping for an out of court settlement?

Of course they are. They don't "do" court appearances, settling outside is their speciality. Snr Amaral of course is the exception to this but they tried all they could to avoid that court appearance too. He has the courage of his convictions though and has stood his ground.
I'm disappointed with the Times. Have the ba*ls to print your story and stick by it or don't bother at all. It is either true or it's not and this quietly compensating those two money grabbing people gives the message they were in the wrong.

Re: McCanns Suing Sunday Times
They weren´t worried about their reputations when they left 3 tiny children alone night after night whilst they went out eating and drinking, having their "me time", "it was our holiday too". The Mccanns must be the most avaricious pair ever to walk on this planet, their greed for money knows no bounds. Apparently the world should be kneeling at their alter to worship them and no doubt soon there will be gangs of "thought police", equipped with mind probing machines roaming the world to ensure that anyone caught thinking the Mccanns are anything other than saintly beings will be dealt with most severely.

Dong worry, there luck will run out soon.
Every newspaper apart from the sun must loathe the pair and can't wait for the 'end game' and it will come, they must have sooooo much dirt on the pair waiting in the wings.

I've been reading that Alex Salmond has said that Scottish voters were "tricked" into rejecting independence and, without getting into the debate, I can't help but think how the UK press have tried to trick the general public by continuing to canonize the McCanns. I say "tried" to trick because I simply can't believe there are still people who buy the notion that Madeleine was abducted. I just hope I live long enough to hear that the papers who do have all the dirt, and I'm sure they do, will ban together and stand up to Carter-Ruck and expose the parents and their role in Madeleine's disappearance.
