Bing and Yahoo are still showing MM and CMOMM.
Let's hope that they don't go the same way.

Re: Banned from google
I managed to get here through Google but difficult. I think that the problem could be with Forumotion.

Re: Banned from google
It's been close to three months since mccannfiles.com has been up-dated. It was reported that Nigel Moore was taking some much needed time off (that would be around the time we heard of "men in suits").
Just wondering about him while reading about Google deleting reference to Jill Havern's forum. Has anyone heard how he is doing?

If you copy and paste http://jillhavern.forumotion.net it works with posts made today. Bot nothing with the name of the forum only.

Re: Banned from google
This is a properly run and well moderated site. If it has been whoosh-clucked from Google it will be extremely unreasonable, to say the least.
I know TM are fiendishly powerful and backed by the lord knows whom, but can they have a forum hobbled because they don't happen to like what some of the posters say?
Under new EU rules Google has to agree to remove stuff that people do not like under some ruling about wiping off stuff from the past. At the time it was said to be a charter for criminals and paedophiles being able to cover up their tracks.

Re: Banned from google
I've remembered the name of that EU ruling that Google has been got at under. (Or maybe its nickname). It was called 'the right to be forgotten' FORGOTTEN????!!!! Fat chance! This case and its protagonists will never be forgotten.

It hasn't been whoosh clucked from Google or anywhere else. All I can see there is an 18 page thread of rubbish and hysteria. Yes, Mitchell got the Mirror forum shut down, but that was quite different. For one thing, Forumotion isn't even hosted in the UK so Carter Ruck have no say at all in what goes on on a Forumotion server. All this screeching paranoia, based on zero evidence, is doing the McCann doubters no favours at all.

Re: Banned from google
Iris is quite right. Maybe Google is getting too big for it's boots. People should either bookmark sites as I do or be aware of other search engines esp when you get a "Personally Tailored Search" which doesn't show the info you want.
kitti... I found your ref to a RAT quite interesting...a sledgehammer to crack a nut?

Re: Banned from google
Iris is correct. The site hasn't been whoosh clucked! I did not mean that the site had been wiped out! I mean that its listing has been moved from the normal place in the Google listings, so that new viewers who hear about 'Missing Madeleine' as a good discussion site will not see it come up, high up on page one of Google, where it always used to be.
I have had this site book marked from very early on, so I can get through at once, but its listing HAS gone from its place in the Google listings. Someone has definitely requested this move.
Do you know Iris, if it is still listed, but maybe back down the pages where nobody
looks? I think you now have to type 'forum.motion' in - stuff which new people would not know. ace in the listings.

By 'screeching parania' I hope nobody means me! I am certainly, but rightfully, annoyed at Google for this shift and I see nothing wrong with that.

Re: Banned from google
I suspect it's more of a problem with the whole of Forumotion. Lots of Forumotion sites seem to be affected.
By "screeching paranoia" I mean some of the delicate souls on JH who are seeing all sorts of bogeymen and conspiracies where none exist, and then whipping up all the others. There is about as much evidence of a big McCann conspiracy as there is an abductor. Yes, Google has the "right to be forgotton" and certain hits can be removed, but they way people are screeching about it - removing whole forums - it just does not work that way. Heaven help you if you try to explain that to them, though. So I've just given up and left them to get on with it.

Re: Banned from google
This is a message from the CMOMM site owner.
"I've been having a chat with 'Faked Abduction' author, Steve Marsden, today on facebook https://www.facebook.com/jill.havern and he reckons it's a forumotion issue with their robots.txt.
It would seem that all forumotion sites have the same problem but I don't understand why my forum (and Missing Madeleine) isn't listed on Google even though others are.
I've posted a query on forumotion http://help.forumotion.com/t136499-robotstxt-excluding-google?highlight=robots and hopefully they'll get back to me to help me remedy this".
She's made of stronger stuff than some of the delicate souls over there!

Re: Banned from google
So that's Steve "The Book Thief" Marsden and myself both told them the same thing, but they still want to believe that there's some big McCann conspiracy. They are beyond help.
