Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
So, recently, we've HAD 'SIX' FULL TIME Maddie 'Cops', erm, 'leave' to be replaced by GKW, the 'COST' of OG 'published', and now DCI Mahogany's 'retirement'.
'Bizzies' have certainly been busy, haven't they?
Imo, rats, sinking ship, comes to mind.
9:00am 'brief' at Grange.
"Hi guys, my name's DCI Hall. We'll be going over the T9 statements, with a fine toothed comb, today. Any thoughts, about that?"
"What T9 statements, guv? DCI Mahogany and the 'six' always told us there was NOTHING to look at, there"
"My name's Hall, Jane Hall, and i like things shaken, not stirred"
"Can I retire, with immediate effect, from Operation Strange, guv?"
"And me"
"and us"

Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
As the "source" said to the Mirror: "A lead detective would not typically stand down if they can see a result in the pipeline." and I respect the pessimistic (undesirable outcome) comments expressed by others but I refuse to give up hope that the McCanns will be held accountable for Madeleine's "disappearance".

Madeleine was abducted then murdered.
I'm afraid it's too late to go back from....'did you kill Madeleine' because that statement can't be undone ..no doubt the mccanns will .....'there's no evidence that Madeleine has come to any harm' even though being taken away from her family for 7 years is surely the worse harm a child could suffer...then carry on with the 'fund' to find an 'unharmed and recoverable, albeit as one off the family has said..damaged...Madeleine'
Great points kitti. From day one the Mcs have told us that there's no evidence that Madeleine has come to no harm. Apart from the paedo thing, if your child has been "Taken" from you, she has to be harmed by that fact alone.

Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
Posted by portugalpress on December 05, 2014 Madeleine: Redwood moves over for “painted” lady Just as the Met confirmed that thus far the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has cost the British taxpayer over £10 million, detective-in-charge Andy Redwood has announced that he will be retiring and handing over to a rather unusual DCI from Homicide and Major Crime Command, Nicola Wall. Ms Wall, who appeared in Vogue last year, is described as an officer who “enjoys playing with her femininity if only to shake up the stuffier factions of the Met”. She told Vogue how she usually wears “a heel” and “always” paints her nails. Twenty-five years with the Met, has seen her with over nine years as a DCI, most recently heading up Homicide and Major Crime. She is also a trained hostage and crisis negotiator. In interview with Vogue, she said she “usually has about six or seven live cases at any one time, and prides herself on her investigative speed”. As the article pointed out, “she is only partially joking when she attributes her low media profile to the fact ‘we solve cases so quickly nobody gets involved…" Thus Wall is a perfect choice for a case that has taken upwards of seven years so far to get to the point where it is re-interviewing people who were discounted from the original PJ investigation. According to today’s Telegraph, DCI Redwood will be introducing Nicola Wall to the Portuguese authorities when the latest Met team arrives to interview witnesses on Monday (see: http://portugalresident.com/madeleine-met-returns-to-algarve-to-grill-br...) Meantime, as the Met reshuffles its Operation Grange, in Portugal the long-standing defamation case taken out by Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann against former PJ police detective Gonçalo Amaral is due to reconvene in Lisbon next Wednesday at 9.30am. -
I do hope the case goes ahead next Wednesday and not cancelled till the new Year.
Also ... surely there will be no more asking for donations now..with ten mil now already spent. xxxx

Oh, she's get her priorities right then....paints her nails and chooses her high heels. Let's just hope she's as diligent with poor Madeleine's case.
I heard that Redwood is looking for a job as a decorator's assistant....he's great with whitewash

Two men are to be questioned about missing Maddie
The men, one British and one Portuguese, are expected to face questioning in Faro on the Algarve along with nine other witnesses.
Portuguese officers will conduct the interviews with British officers present.
Separate witnesses saw the men near the apartment in Praia da Luz shortly before Madeleine, three, was abducted on May 3 2007.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood flies to Faro tomorrow in the hope that he can achieve a breakthrough in the days before he retires.
He is being joined on the trip by DCI Nicola Wall from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command Unit.
She is taking over command of Operation Grange, the Yard’s investigation into the case, on December 22.
Her appointment means an all-woman team now heads the international investigation.
DCI Wall will be working closely with Portuguese state prosecutor Ines Sequira.
She will also attend meetings with Ana Paulo Rito, the criminal coordinator of the Policia Judiciaria in nearby Portimao, and Helen Monteiro, who leads the team of Portuguese detectives.
Meanwhile, in Lisbon on Wednesday the libel trial brought by Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann against former police chief Goncalo Amaral resumes.
Good to hear the libel trial mentioned in these reports ...usually this kind of news is hidden away from the public not reported. xxxx

Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
I've noticed that the McCanns in praising Andy Redwood did not have anything to say about Nicola Wall....not a encouraging word...zilch....I'm hoping this change has them worried more so than usual, especially with a verdict coming up in Portugal.

Not a word from them. I must confess I always prefer to deal with a woman in any legal matters . I always find them far more direct and to the point... not so much waffle. IMO.
I wonder what this week will bring. xxxx

I wonder what her attitude will be? Will she be more or less sympathetic towards the McCanns than previous senior detectives have been.

Never heard off a DCI retiring before a huge case is solved or left unsolved.
You would think he would stay on to see Madeleine get the justice she deserves but NO he's just like the rest off them....

kitti, we've know for months that he would be retiring, and that somebody else would be taking over. Interesting that his replacement is a homicide detective.kitti wrote:Never heard off a DCI retiring before a huge case is solved or left unsolved.

Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
Yes we knew he was retiring months ago but why take on this case and retire now...any decent police officer would stay on an extra year.
He knew he was going to retire before he took it on, seems he had a few years for his pension so what the hell...why not make the time up by doing this...

That's right kitti and he did not want to blot his copy book with his pension at stake. So he stuck to the script. I suppose the new one has the same script. We will see what her acting abilities are like!

Blacksmith has another post up (Monday, December 8, 2014) where, among other comments about the case, he mentions "The lies and omissions of the disgusting MSM on behalf of a pair of manipulators are what brought us into this affair and will keep us here, God willing, until Amaral gets justice and the McCanns are either vindicated or condemned....." www.blacksmithbureau.blogspot.co.uk

Re: Andy Redwood is retiring
Donald Duck could replace Redwood but unless a decision is made that the whole truth is told, regardless of who or what it exposes, it will not matter one jot who is in charge.
I wish his successor well in her new role and hope she is the miracle worker this disgraceful cover up has been waiting for.
