Re: Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie
I'd rather they reveal why they didn't co-operate with Portuguese police who were attempting to locate and rescue Madeleine after they themselves reported her as being "abducted" (even though they didn't even bother to look for her themselves).

Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie

Kate and Gerry McCann include her smile, her dimples, her sense of humour, her “chat” and her excitement in the festive build-up
The parents of Madeleine McCann have compiled a heart-rending list of all the things they miss about their long-lost daughter in the run-up to Christmas.
The list accompanies a picture of the couple standing at their front door in Rothley, Leics.
The photo, taken for the charity Missing People’s Home for Christmas Exhibition, is among 12 pictures of families who have missing loved ones.
The exhibition – at The Crypt in London’s St-Martin-in-the-Fields – highlights the plight of thousands of people across Britain who are living in limbo after the disappearance of a family member.
A charity spokesperson said: “These powerful images depict families standing by their front doors, symbolising the hopes and fears experienced by those desperately waiting for news.”
The picture of heart doctor Gerry and former GP Kate , both 47, is on public view until November 22. The couple, parents to 10-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, refuse to give up hope of finding their eldest child, who would now be 12.
Madeleine disappeared from a holiday apartment in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007.
Missing People’s Jo Youle said: “The exhibition will give the public the opportunity to stand with these families missing a loved one by sharing messages of support.”

Madeleine McCann reveals the reasons why she misses her parents, or NOT!
She misses her parents being at the Tapas restaurant, out of sight, spending 'me time', with their friends, when, (luckily), only she was 'abducted' and not her siblings, as well.
She misses her parents not searching for her, in her hellish lair, near PDL, in Portugal, when they go there for 'libel' days, against the only person that was 'searching' for her and the 'truth'
She wonders why her parents said there was nothing to implicate them, in her 'death'
She wonders why her parents 'were GLAD' the PJ 'investigation' into her 'abduction' 'was CLOSED'
She misses Cuddlecat.
She misses her pink 'blanky'
She wonders why her own mother said 'whether that involves re-opening the case (into her 'abduction') or NOT, IT DOSEN'T MATTER', (to her mother)
One thing she dosen't miss, and that is the BULLSHIT her parents and OG have 'come out with' since she was 'abducted'!
ps: I'm sure there are a lot more 'reasons' that Madeleine 'misses', or not, about her parents.

I can't say I find their list heart-rendering; it's too comprehensive/generic, not really personal.

I often wondered if Kate, as an Ambassador of Missing People, advises parents not to answer police questions when reporting their children missing.

They make her sound 14 (at the time) not 3 for goodness sake. That list is so weird but what do we expect? Is it possible to have a sense of humour at age 3? I always thought children just giggled when amused

Kate has never seemed to know what is age appropriate for children.

What parent of a missing child needs to give a long list of the reasons they miss that child? The only one most would give is, "Because my heart is broken." The McCanns give a list as though they were listing the reasons they miss that lovely chocolate that is no longer available at the supermarket.

A three-year-old is not, of course, a "little buddy" for her mother.
Re: Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie
It seems so strange to talk about a child who is allegedly feared by her parents to have been 'taken' by a paedophile ring, in such sentimental terms. I have a daughter and if I'd thought she was in the hands of a paedophile I would not be missing her... I'd be in a state of permanent agony, fearing what was happening to her and consumed with anxiety about whether or not she is dead and if she'll ever be found.
Those who say we can't know what we'd feel if we were in the McCanns' position are wrong. All parents know what they'd feel if they lost their child. That's why they do everything they can to keep them as safe and well as possible.

It seems to me like reflections on the short life of a child whom you know is dead and you have come to terms with this as much as it's possible to do so.

This is true for me. I imagine most of us who have children have lost sight of a little one at some time and in just a few seconds there is that gut wrenching feeling of panic and imagining. We anticipate the dangers in a given situation and do everything we can to deal with those dangers. And still we check and double check. What parent, let alone a couple of medics, would think that small children in an unlocked apartment in a foreign country would be safe and checking every 30 minutes was fine? Doctors don't know that a child can choke in a matter of seconds?
That list from the McCanns is sentimental claptrap, just another load of pompous tosh which Kate and Gerry obviously imagine make them sound like loving parents.
Re: Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie
That's just it. Everything the McCanns have said - or done - was what they imagined would make them sound or look like loving parents. Their words and actions tell us they were not the loving parents they purport to be. They can't even imagine how compassionate loving parents would feel totally destroyed when informed of the dog alerts.

This is really important as far as I am concerned, interested. If parents had no idea what had happened to a child, I'm sure they would be absolutely devastated if cadaver and blood dogs alerted in their apartment and on items belonging to them. They wouldn't be combing the internet for the one case where it appeared that the dogs had been wrong. I don't think Gerry ever commented on the fact that Zapata confessed and the dogs had been right.
Re: Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie
I don't know about the Zapata case but I do remember Gerry said that when they discovered that Madeleine was "lost", he felt it was like when he was a student and was overdrawn at the bank. Gerry is all heart.
