That's the same record they played a few months ago. I guess now that the ninth anniversary is approaching the poor distraught parents are looking to top up the fund. Their PR guy is already booking exclusive interviews for a year from now. Just how gullible/naive does the UK press think the public are.

Yes I guess trying to get as much publicity now to get the money coming in.

Kate said: "The urge to look for Madeleine absolutely hasn't changed at all." So, in other words, they didn't look for her when they reported Madeleine "missing" and the "urge" hasn't changed because they know exactly what happened to her but keep the donations coming in folks because we "face the emotionally daunting prospect of paying for a new private investigation".

Pretty much goes along with the hopefully end off the trial which they hoped would be concluded in April but alas didn't happen so they have pushed it back to august...



SY lied in the crimewatch programme and the MET say that the two men, one carrying a child and the smith sighting, are the only two people they havent identified so the show goes on.

As their are only THREE SY detectives supposedly looking for her, £95,000 for six months work for sitting on their arses, is a nice little earner

It's a tad late now, but 9 years ago Kate's 'urge' to search for Madeleine could have been fulfilled if she had responded as a real mother would, when being questioned by the Portuguese officers... These officers who WERE searching for Madeleine didn't need any urging nor just sat at computers. They were doing their job and confronted a most unlikely, thought provoking hindrance. Strangely, no referrals to Kate's refusal to answer 48 questions are ever quoted by our 'unbiased' media nor has it ever been satisfactorily explained.

I notice the Sun was accepting comments (up until 3 hours ago) although only 13 were published.

The Mirror (on line) has an article entitled: "Theresa May grants Scotland Yard another 95K to help find Madeleine McCann". The article concludes with a poll which asks the question: "Should the search for Maddie still be funded by the public purse?"

Current result indicates: NO - 81% YES - 19%

I hope those who indicated "Yes" realize that "public purse" equals "taxpayers".

I believe it is the Sun and Mirror on facebook who have been taking comments, majority of them against the McCanns

September 2015 UK press said, mccann investigation will get £2m
October 2015 they said officers are reduced to 4 (should costs £95K for 6 months according to Sundays news)

Where is that £2m gone?

What exactly do they hope to achieve with 95K and six months that they couldn't achieve with over 12 million and 9 years???
