A three-year-old boy has died after being found face down in a neighbour's garden pond in Kent.
Freddie Watmough was eventually found in a garden pond
Freddie Watmough disappeared from a house in Dover on Saturday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, including a helicopter from Kent Air Ambulance.
A police officer attempted emergency first aid on the toddler.
Freddie was taken to the nearby William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, where he was pronounced dead.
His parents Leanne Beardmore and Philip Watmough said they were struggling to come to terms with his death.
In a statement they said: "There are no words to describe how we are feeling.
"We can't even begin to imagine life without our little man. We love and miss him so, so much and would give anything to hear him, see him and feel him again.
"Freddie had so much energy, so much love to give and was always running, always stealing apples from the fruit bowl and always laughing, usually all at the same time.
"Freddie lived for climbing, any object was seen as just another obstacle to be conquered, with determination.
"We just can't believe he was taken from us so suddenly and in such a tragic way.
"We'd like to thank everyone who tried to save our gorgeous little boy. They tried so hard and for that we will be eternally grateful. Freddie will live on in our hearts and minds, inspiring us to be the parents he would have wanted us to be.
"Asleep now but always dreaming of mummy, daddy and his big sister. Once again we'd like to thank everyone for their help, kindness and support."

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police carried out a search of the area and found the boy in a neighbouring garden, face down in a pond."
Police said the boy's death was not being treated as suspicious.
Neighbour Edward Sedgwick said: "We were told that the little boy had wandered off and his family were immediately out looking for him.
"The next thing we knew was that he'd been found but he was hurt.
"A helicopter turned up shortly after that and we heard about an hour later that the child had died."
