So Sorry Pamalam, can't you just remove the book and translations, would Carter Ruck settle for that.

All is well at the moment. It does not look as if I will be taken off line.
They would have to get a court order in America to take me off line.

I just can't fathom all this threatening that the MCs do. If they were innocent of any crime would they bother? If they were guilty would they bother?

I just don't know sometimes!

Actually I doubt it. It would cost MEGA, MEGA, MEGA bucks with no guarantee that they would win. They are just trying the usual scare tactics IMHO.

Carter Ruck are nothing but bullies, threatening people when they have no legal backing and resorting to out and out lies. My god, they should be reported. You are in disrespect of a court order, where did they get this crap? As far as I believe, this court order does not concern you at all as you have not been served with any courtorder at all. The only one who has to comply with this court order is Gonçalo Amaral. The injunction on the publisher and the producer is not longer effective either. Legal deliberations in one country do not take effect world wide. The gall of these people knows no bounds. I am shaking with rage and I wish that they get stricken with bubonic plague.

I am so sorry that you are apparently in the crosshairs at the moment, but I don't believe all your work will be lost altogether.

I think there are efforts under way to prevent anyone from seeking the truth or discussing this case. They'll use any means they can to have all discussion stopped. The problem for them is that we will NOT stop talking about it. They can't shut us up, no matter how many websites they manage to "ruck", the conversation will go on all over the web. We will simply spread further and grow stronger.

Presumably it would cost quite a lot on money to pursue this in an American court and while they may be happy to threaten, following through with the case may be a different matter.
As I see it, they (CR) would be taking action against the web host and this may not go down too well in an American court, particularly as the Portuguese court has yet to hear and rule on the action of the alleged Amaral libel.

What makes me feel sick is the thought that if a fraction of all this effort, (not to mention money), had gone into trying to find out what happened to Madeleine she would have likely been found ages ago.
Assuming her whereabouts has not been known all along of course.

So sorry Pamalam CR are using their bullying tactics again. In the letter the word "abduction" has been used and IMO it is LIBEL!!!

Indeed, and reminds me of the way that Murdoch has very recently been attempting to bully Google. Though he apparently gained concessions the consensus among media commentators seems to be that Google still has the upper hand and people will still be able to access sufficient pages on the Murdoch sites. Bullies do not always win.

Carter Ruck really are a set of Tango Whisky Alpha Tango Sierras. They, and their odious clients, really make my blood boil. The more they try to make this whole thing go away, the more intrigued I am at just what it is they are actually covering up.

Sorry to hear what has happened to you pamalam. The McCanns are acting as if they are part of an organisation, In My Opinion.
