Re: Sky Live Day 1 - 12/01/10
In retrospect, I think it was particularly bad luck for them to have had the hearing rescheduled to today - the day when dear old, kindly former spin doctor Alistair Campbell gave evidence to the Iraq enquiry.
After all, as we've seen in the past, the government love nothing better than the media focussing on a nice, juicy story and not paying too much close attention to what they're up to.
A good day to bury bad news, methinks (so to speak)

Just what I've been thinking..no other news site apart from Sky seems to be mentioning the McCanns or the breaking news..Not breaking news to most realistic people anyway..

This is strange, l always thought the tests went to Birmingham but were taken by Portuguese police?? So did the Birmingham technicians actually take the swabs/tests themselves?

I think Amaral says in his book that the samples were so delicate that they were lifted by the people who would take them to Birmingham.

BBC News 24 just said the story was the most clicked today with 16% clicking through to read about Kate and Gerry McCann. So looks as though more than just us are interested in the case.

Don't they have any consideration? I've got washing-up to do....wish they'd let me know if they've p*ssed off for lunch![/quote
It"s not on is it, keeping us on tenterhooks. It is really starting to look as if it is all unravelling
for the McCanns, can you imagine the U.K. Press reporting?

I was watching the news in TV, it looks like you are frying in Oz. We are freezing over here in EU.
Can you send us some of that heat?

I had BBC East Midlands on at that time, not a mention of their infamous residents from Rothley. >>>>
