A QUESTION THAT IS BUGGING ME
For the last two days we have heard Gerry Mc saying he wants justice for Madeleine.
WHY THEN ARE THEY NOT PUSHING FOR MADELEINE'S CASE TO BE RE-OPENED IN PORTUGAL?

I'm almost sure I read somewhere that the case could be opened if they agreed to a reconstruction and/or answered the 48 unanswered questions. Because that would be counted as new evidence.

so if the 48 questions are put to Kate when she takes the stand then the case can be re-opened. I'm sure she will be asked why she didn't answer the questions. Depending on her reply I hope Amaral's solicitor asks her will she be willing to answer them there and then. It's wishful thinking I know but these questions need to be answered if ANYONE is going to get to the bottom of Madeleine's disappearance.

Don't say that Antoinette, Kate will be on the next flight back to Rothley Towers if she thinks she'll be asked such damning questions ...Antoinette wrote:MaryB wrote:I'm almost sure I read somewhere that the case could be opened if they agreed to a reconstruction and/or answered the 48 unanswered questions. She may well find that "like erm, you know" is not normally acceptable as an answer to a question in a court of law.

Re: A QUESTION THAT IS BUGGING ME
It is extremely odd that Gerry stands there and says the only people looking for Madeleine in the last two years have been them. Why does he not go on to explain the efforts he has made with both British and Portuguese Police to get them to look for Madeleine?
I would suggest because he cannot do that, because so far as the police in both countries are concerned only he can tell them what happened to Madeleine, that one person as Mrs Justice Hogg and CEOP refer to.

Re: A QUESTION THAT IS BUGGING ME
Both of them (I mean the neglecting, disgusting pair) could have had the case re-opened. They had a deadline to ask for the instruction of the process as their lawyers know very well. They didn't because they chose not to. I wonder why...
Re: A QUESTION THAT IS BUGGING ME
the neglecting disgusting pair lol, I could go stronger than that. Neither of us are as clever as the McCanns (FACT) and therefore I think we need to accept why they just ignored the deadline to ask the PJ to continue the investigation of them, oh I never said that

Re: A QUESTION THAT IS BUGGING ME
I think I just found the answer to my own question
Earlier, the lawyer in charge of the original inquiry into Madeleine’s disappearance, Jose Magalhaes e Menezes, revealed that Portuguese police had intercepted text messages exchanged between Gerry and Kate McCann in the days following their daughter’s disappearance in a bid to determine whether the parents’ were involved. Their arguido status was lifted when the investigation was shelved in July 2008.
This means if the case is re-opened both Kate & Gerry will be arguido's again.
