Seriously the woman is a lunatic. Paiva didnt do anything because he knew MM was dead. Plus if it was that important it was a matter for their highly professional (snort!!) PI's to follow up, isnt that why they wanted the case files....

Beattie, it is my understanding that the claim that Amaral broke the secrecy of justice is a separate court case, even separate to the libel case. They are not claiming that the book was published before the case was shelved, but that Amaral provided information to the publisher before the case was shelved.

What has that got to do with this case? This is about whether Amaral has the right to say what he has in the book isn't it? She's just reminded everyone about the dogs.

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say! Paiva is not an expert witness regarding the capability (or not) of the dogs ability. To accuse another of giving false testimony in this instance is very poor professional practice imho.

Whether Paiva has been inconsistent or not does not matter. What matters is that Dr Amaral has written his book based on the investigation and what the investigators were examining.
