Woman accused of murdering girl, 2, in Dewsbury

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young girl's body was found at a West Yorkshire house.

The body of the two-and-a-half-year-old was found at a house in Naylor Court, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire Police said.

Police attended the address after a request by healthcare workers and arrested a woman at the scene.

The woman, aged 29, was arrested on suspicion of murder and detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death, police said.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Saturday by a home office pathologist to establish the cause of death.

I've just read that. Another one on the same day as the report about the illegal immigrant who killed his five-week-old daughter.

Seems like there's one of these almost every day at the moment.

Its a friggen epidemic & I am angry because nobody seems to give a shit least of all the Government.

Every day another child is killled.

Dewsbury toddler death suspect sectioned

A woman arrested after a toddler's body was found at a house in West Yorkshire has been admitted to a secure psychiatric unit.

Two-year-old Jasmine Leona Bellfield's body was found at a house in Naylor Court, Dewsbury, on Friday.

Police said they had been unable to question a 29-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of her murder.

A spokesman said she was admitted to a secure psychiatric unit "for assessment and treatment for a mental illness".

A post-mortem examination carried out on Saturday failed to determine the cause of Jasmine's death and further tests are taking place.

Police attended the address after a request by healthcare workers and arrested the woman at the scene.

Detectives said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
