A six-month-old baby has shocked his parents and doctors by learning to walk unaided.

WOW!!! The parents are going to be run off their feet earlier than expected. Would that be good for the childs legs though as the muscle in his legs wouldn't be very strong.

I wonder if he was a very big baby, which might mean he is stronger physically than the average 6 month-old. It used to be thought that walking too early led to "bandy legs," as we say in Scotland.
