From the long-lost days when politicians 'served' (others, not themselves) and held fundamental beliefs.
Irrespective of whatever political colour you favour; he was a true statesman.

An intellectual........a socialist........and a very decent human being......the end of an era....

Most of todays 'New Labour' couldnt hold a candle to this man of Honesty and Integrity.

I heard Michael Foot speak at a conference some years ago and remain impressed by his intellect and oratory skills. A very caring and compassionate individual. Rest in peace Michael.
