Why would an abductor be taking his victim out in public months after they had been abducted?
The most recognisable face on the planet running about in NZ in a supermarket.
How is the man to know that his victim isn't going to start shouting and screaming who she is or that she won't run away?
If there had been an abduction then she would be kept locked away somewhere unable to see the light of day for many many months or even years and even then they would be kept close to home and hidden away should anyone visit.
Theonly way they could be certain she would say nothing is to do something so that she couldn't say anything and any identifying marks would be dealt with be that damaging the eye or worse.

there is no evidence to show an abduction apart from tanners alleged sighting and a missing little girl but there is evidence to show there was a body in the apartment and car and that blood or other bodily fluids were left there indicating some physical harm befell her.
