No reputable company or website asks you to give personal info such as account numbers or passwords. If everyone remembers that and doesn't give any info they should be ok. Anyone asking for those sort of details is a scammer.

Yes, but you can imagine older people not used to Banks believing this, the same people who get ripped off by rip off Tradesmen, , sad but true.
