Please help : Missing Amy Fitzpatrick

Oct 7

Posted by insidespanishfootball

Please spare a moment to take a read and dont hesitate to call if you know the where abouts or have any information regarding Amy.

Inside Spanish Football has taken the international break to appeal to its viewers and help raise awareness to find missing Amy Fitzpatrick, she went missing almost four years ago and we are hoping our appeal can help Amy’s family get a step closer to finding their wonderful daughter.

Disappearance

On New Years Day 2008, at 10pm, Amy said goodbye to her close friend Ashley Rose, with whom she had been babysitting Ashley’s brother at her friend’s house in Mijas Costa.

Amy should have arrived at her home on the urbanisation Riviera del Sol in Mijas Costa, near Fuengirola, at about 10:10pm, as it was only a short walk away. But, she never arrived home and has not been heard from or seen since that night.

Amy, an Irish girl, was 15 at the time; she has black hair, blue eyes and a pale complexion. She is 1.65m tall.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing dark-coloured crushed velvet tracksuit bottoms and a black T-shirt with the word ‘Diesel’ on it in various different colours. She had no money, phone or passport (as she was still on her mother’s). She turned 17 on February 7, 2009.

Following her disappearance, a massive search involving hundreds of people from many different departments was launched amidst a sea of speculation; that she may have left voluntarily, that she may have been abducted, that a white van might have been involved, that she may have sent an email to make contact, that she may have eloped with a man. All proved to be dead ends.

Although Amy is Irish she speaks with an English accent as the area she is from is predominantly British.

Her computer and phone have been checked thoroughly and nothing was found to suggest she has left voluntarily with someone. Amy has numerous sites on social networking sites, e.g. bebo, my space, face book and MSN and none of them have been touched since she went missing.

Appeal

Although the probability that she may have left voluntarily fades with each passing month, lack of any useful evidence keeps it a possibility, none the less. It may be the case that due to the amount of publicity involved, she is afraid to make contact.

Her family have not given up hope that new information will come to light, despite the time elapsed and they are making an urgent plea to anyone, residents in the area, people on holiday at that time to come forward.

“Please send us any information you have no matter how insignificant it may seem. There has to be one person somewhere who knows something.”

“No-one has been caught, which means they are still out there. If it happened once it can happen again.”

“This has been the hardest time of our lives without Amy and we need her back so we can get our lives back on track.”

Inside Spanish Football will do everything in our power to make this appeal as appealing as possible in hope of finding Amy, we are also in contact with Malaga CF and Real Madrid in hope both will wear shirts with Amy’s picture on them on the weekend of the 7/8 January, just over four years after her disappearance.

Many Thanks for taking the time to read this appeal.

Sponsored walk for missing teenager Amy Fitzpatrick

Wednesday, 05 October 2011 18:55

A SPONSORED walk for missing teenager Amy Fitzpatrick was held recently to show that she is not forgotten.

The walk was 20 kilometres from Sinatra’s Bar in Puerto Banus to Harmon’s Irish Bar in Elviria. Amy was 15 when she disappeared from Mijas Costa on January 1, 2008 when walking home from a friend’s house.

At the time she had dark hair, was very slim, 1.65m tall, with big blue eyes. She is Irish but had lived in Spain for many years.

For more information, contact Audrey and Dave on missingamy@live.co.uk.

I found the above for Antoinette but she seems to have left.

So pleased that people have not forgotten poor Amy and are still raising funds to find her.
