'Common Purpose' - The Shadowy organisation attempting to restrict freedom of the press [Leveson / Jimmy Saville, Sir David Bell & Gerry Mccann]

Post  Loopdaloop on Sun 18 Nov - 1:54

The Aim of the Leveson Inquiry

The aim of the Leveson inquiry is to restrict the freedom of the press to enable the shadowy 'elite' consisting of polticians / bankers and others in the old boys network to be able to make all of their dodgy deals invariably involved with funneling money from the taxpayer into private pockets.

method
They set to achieve this by drumming up public support for 'how terrible the press are', by wheeling out the celebs who's lives have been blighted,
such as Floppy haired Hugh Grant, Charlotte Church and Steve Coogan to make the case from their perspective.

To make things even better they wheeled out the Mccann's and Milly Dowler's parents to tell of 'phone hacking' concerns.

Results

All is going very well....

Until....
Extraneous variable... Jimmy Saville.

According the media and even Ester Ranthzam, they all knew about Jimmy.
They all stood idley by whilst this happened... public opinion changes.
Why did the press not tell the public and protect the nations children from this predator, that is unacceptable...
It starts to add balance to the Leveson inquiry.....

Intervention
They threw in a spanner... Released today in the sun of all papers.
Finally a piece of investigative journalism in the manner that the news of the world did well. (on occassion)
Recently its been the telegraph which breaks all the big corruption scandals.. but I will now quote the extract

THE BBC’s false and despicable claim that Lord Alistair McAlpine was a child sex monster could not have come at a worse time for Sir Brian Leveson.
The smear, fed to the Beeb by the grandly-named Bureau of Investigative Journalism, has damaged the BBC’s reputation.
But it has also put a question mark over the long-awaited inquiry on newspaper culture, ethics and practices to which Sir Brian is putting finishing touches.
For it exposes not just the BBC’s own crass errors, but a link between the untrue story, the organisation that peddled it and an influential figure at the heart of the Leveson Inquiry.
Sir David Bell is the most senior member of the six-strong panel appointed to assist the inquiry.
Sir David also has ties with a group of organisations whose aim appears to be to shackle the freedom of the press.
He is a trustee and ex-chairman of influential Common Purpose, a charity which charges £5,000 a time to train rising stars in the police, Whitehall and BBC.
The organisation is backed by big money and, says one observer, is obsessed with what it sees as “the irresponsibility and excessive power of the media”.
Two others on the panel advising Sir Brian Leveson have links with it.
Sir David is also a key player on the Media Standards Trust — set up by supporters of Common Purpose to encourage media “transparency and accountability”.
The Trust was embarrassed recently after awarding its biggest prize to a journalist who was caught stealing his material.
It spawned the Hacked Off campaign, fronted by Hugh Grant, Steve Coogan and fetish orgy fan Max Mosley and dedicated to statutory control of the press.
The Bureau of Investigative Journalism — where Sir David is also a trustee — has blown a hole in his strategy.
The BIJ was billed as the “gold standard” of investigative journalism.
The McAlpine fiasco has left it dead in the water, its inflated reputation destroyed and two of its leading figures looking for work.
More worryingly, its activities cast doubt on the quality of advice on offer to Lord Leveson.
Sir David Bell was present throughout the months-long inquiry and spent many hours at the judge’s side between sessions.
Sir Brian Leveson is one of Britain’s most respected judges, welcomed by editors and proprietors to scrutinise the industry’s practices.
The same cannot necessarily be said of the assorted experts appointed to advise him.
None have any direct experience of tabloid newspapers.
We now know some are actively hostile towards them.

Theres more detail in the sun on how they did it but its very interesting reading!

Now, I don't know about the rest of you but generally when I hear of a corruption and dark background deals I think of the Mccann's
so I did a google to see if Gerry Mccann had any connection to this 'Common Purpose' organisation, and what a suprise he does.
According the blog I am about to Quote TONY BENNETT first began to highlight these links. Gerry Mccann has reportedly given a talk for them as well!!

This was written on The British Democracy forum by retired solicitor, Tony Bennett (who is one of the thorns in the McCanns' side) from the Madeleine Foundation.

"Don't see the connections?

Let's make a start.

Let's look at the charity called Common Purpose and then let's look at the private trust (pretendig to be a charity), the Find Madeleine Fund Trust, which seems to have spent most of its money so far (given by a generous if gullible public) on a dodgy Spanish private detective agency, Metodo 3, which has links to major drug-running and money laundering operations.

OK, so the connections?

1. Both Common Purpose and the Find Madeleine Fund Trust use Haysmacintyre as their auditors.

2. Both Common Purpose and the Find Madeleine Fund Trust claim to operate by a code of practice known as the 'Guide to Good Governance'.

3. Neither Common Purpose nor the Find Madeleine Fund Trust follow this policy document (the 'Guide to Good Governance') in practice but they both claim to adhere to it.

More about the Common Purpose links of the McCanns and their advisers and supporters on another occasion..."

Loopadaloop!

So much food for thought! Digging further, we might likely find links to Blair et al. I've always thought the Leveson a ridiculous performance and whatever one may think of Murdoch, from his point of view it was pure betrayal.

Blair came to power because Murdoch supported him, Blair flew out to Australia long before the elections to secure this support - in return for what? Murdoch is a businessman, he wouldn't give without getting double in return.

I wonder if the 'Common purpose' organisation was a counter measure set up soon after Blair's election. I'll try and find out when it was set up.

Adding:

Once on that page, click Julia Middleton - once on that page click 'Demos' (Demos UK) and we're back in the Marxist agenda with a vengeance!

CP was started in 1989, Demos in 1993.

CP was started in 1989, Demos in 1993. Edward Heath gave a warning of them in the 70's.

Murdoch getting in his revenge, wonder how the Sun on Sunday is doing? Imo Murdoch is the kind of man who has his revenge well organised long before any defeat.

I'd never heard of them before this. thanks for the link re: Brian Gerrish.

I wonder how they are going to attempt to control the internet.
Currently there are a number of good websites dedicated to key issues (including this one)
i think there is a place on the net for a website which highlights the truth about issues or at least allows honest / free comment.
Almost like a periodic/monthly journal where people like blacksmith can submit their news stories which try and highlight the issues the elite want hidden.

We need a UK www.infowars.com really to enable us to fight back against all of this and allow information to be available to all.

The following article in the daily mail from 2 days ago highlights what we are up against

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2233716/Dark-arts-links-Masters-Spin-.html
Beyond Authority, the book written by Common Purpose and Media Standard Trust founder Julia Middleton setting out her leadership ethos, contains several instructive passages about the 'long games' and other strategies she advocates for success.
In a chapter which begins 'So what of conspiring? The "dark arts"?', Middleton quotes approvingly and at length one Doug Miller.
He tells her: 'You start with clear and defined objectives … Then you establish what the obstacles are … they are usually people. So you have to establish what motivates them, and then decide if you can win them over by the power of the idea …

'Sometimes, if it gets messy, you might have to run over them, undermine them, go around them or discredit them. As a last resort, you consider bullying them, or buying them off.'

Classy women this Julia Middleton!

I can't get my head around what they are doing to maintain their charitable status...
I've been reading their annual reports but its a strange one. If anyone else can decipher them that would be great!
Here's a link to the company pages http://www.commonpurpose.org.uk/about/company-information
and within that link there is a tab to company information which has 3 different charity reports.
One UK one for the 'charity', the other for international and a third one. Then there are also 'company reports'.

I've never seen anything operate like it.

It's worrying that McAlpine is able to sue thousands because they've posted on Twitter. I don't use Twitter, so the only reason I've even heard about any allegations is because McAlpine has put in place legal action. It doesn't matter if his legal team are asking for a nominal payment. It's part of a precident moving away from freedom of speech. If people can't even 're-tweet' a comment, without being sued, we're looking at censorship that is aimed at doing away with public opinion.
