Hello Badboy, what problems does he mean?

Good morning Fuzeta

I believe what he's a getting at is that if there were women only on board the bus or a particular train carriage, then there would be no one to attack them. Objections have been raised in that it is introducing (or would if it ever got on the statute books) a kind of apartheid and segregating a particular type of person in this case women.

On the face of it and as long as you don't put a great deal of thought into it sounds a good idea. On the other hand, if I saw a woman being attacked or molested in any way, I hope I would intervene. I think that would be what the vast majority of men would do. That couldn't happen if Corbyn got his way. There would be no honest men to intervene. As usual, those bent on mischief would take no notice especially if they saw a woman on her own in a carriage. It's a bit like when labour, in their knee jerk reaction to Dunblane banned all handguns. Or did they. They banned the honest ones, since when gun crime has proliferated. I haven't heard of many criminals who have handed their guns in on the grounds they were now illegal.

For me the answer is tougher sentencing in tough conditions. Few are being "de-criminalised" by prison it's just too good in there. What we actually need is a real deterrent, and if that is barbaric according to the bleeding hearts then that is the price we have to pay to keep our society safe, which it isn't now.

fuzeta wrote:Good evening Katertaif.  For many years I had a doctor who was a Buddhist from Burma.  He used to hold meditation classes but not in our area.   He was looking for somewhere close by to have them and a friend of mine, also a patient, offered him her bungalow which had a huge lounge.   So every week lots of patients gathered at my friends bungalow.  The doctor and his wife came and always brought special tea in flasks.  That went on for a couple of years until his wife had a baby, which then took up their time!    The doctor thought that meditation helped healing and that is why he did it.  It was lovely

Good afternoon Fuzeta.

I think your doctor was very probably right. I cant  quote any examples offhand, but I have over the years heard of and even seen quite a number of instances where that sort of thing has been a positive influence. Far Eastern "mystics" can control pain through meditation, I don't think many would argue with that. So on the whole it must be a good thing. Apart from anything else you say it was lovely, so that in itself is positive in that it made you feel good.

I had only heard of him as an extremely left wing rebellious type. there seem to be a couple of theories as to how he got he job as leader of the Labour party. The general consensus is that he will ruin it completely. certainly on his ill mannered actions this morning. Antagonising the media isn't the best idea he's ever had.

I believe kitti, that is regarded as the proper dress for an ultra left wing "intellectual". either that or he's really a Bavarian and can't afford leather ones.

Absolutely fuzeta. Isnt it strange how these people always want us to disarm, while the communist blocs always get to keep and even augment their own armouries? in Corbyn's case, he wants to scrap our conventional forces as well.

Even without all this, at the very least inappropriate behaviour, they are in many instances extremely churlish and downright ill-mannered. Requiring our vote every few years, and get back in our noisome kennels the rest of the time. Corbyn takes this ignorant behaviour to new heights, as an item on the news showed only today. Their collective behaviour during P.M.s question time is proof enough of this. In this politically correct era children behaving as badly would be diagnosed with ADHD or some such. He will want to talk to journalists all right when voting time comes round. peddling his silly statements (not that he is alone in that) I would have thought the little matter of leaving the EU to be of sufficient importance for our lawmakers and breakers) to work together, but as usual it is self (gratification) first, follow the party lines second, and the needs of the country a long way behind. We desperately need MP's who will put the country first.

Good morning katertaif.

You comment is 100% true and accurate. Politicians have, since the great expose' of their expenses thefts from the public purse shown that they are no longer the statesmen that we used to have and should be expected to lead this once great nation from the front, demonstrating their desire and intention to serve the needs of the electorate to the best of their ability despite their own political preference. There does seem to be an element of amoral deviancy, elitism, self gratification and corruption in a high percentage of our representatives of all genders.

Many of our male MP's are perhaps regressing to historical times and administrations where women were not invited into the chamber where decisions affecting national security and policies are made, whatever their reasons it is plainly true they do not view nor treat their female colleagues as equals. Again your observations are correct, they have one track minds and don't hesitate to use their power and office to satisfy their needs.

Corbyn I believe is in post purely by a foul mischance, he has never been a mover in making nor proposing viable policies and I'm unable to find any reference to a position he held in any Labour cabinet or shadow cabinet. His contribution to Labour has been entirely as a protester whether at the Greenham Common airbase or as an activist, drumming up support at rock festivals. From the articles/accounts I've read, many true Labour MP's see him as being the completely wrong person at the right time for the Labour Leadership. Both his and the collective actions, inactions, childish, lies and general behaviour of politicians of all coloured rosettes gives rise to wondering just what medication these people may or need to have been prescribed.

The jounalists and the media as we have seen in the case of certain missing and or abused children, allow their product to be used to hide injustices and wrongful procedures by any government administration, providing their editors can follow the political postures and promises of the parties who finance the rags they publish on a daily basis.

What these people get away with impunity whilst blatantly lying and profiting from their actions makes a farce of phrases such as; "Free Press, a Honest Politician, working hard for his electorate and putting his country first". IMHO.

Good evening old son. You have pitched it accurately, as per normal. We have no statesmen and women, only self serving and greedy people. Many of them have "blogs" in the Sunday papers, for which of course they receive a handsome remuneration. then when finally rumbled by the electorate, they have a gold plated pension to look forward to. The expenses scandal didn't go away some time ago now; it simply mutated and made them more inventive and creative in their submissions. Once again, nothing about the needs of the country they are supposed to be governing. It's all about theirs. One scam they have which is flourishing; some of them are fortunate enough to own properties in London. They rent these out to colleagues. (I begin to wonder why), who of course immediately sling in an expense chit for the rent, then they go and rent another property, and charge the exchequer again.AS you also say, Corbyn has never held any real rank within Labour. Wrong man, right time, about covers it. He blatantly panders to the electorate in his own constituency, thus ensuring no one else gets a voting base. he is not alone in that of course. Abbott springs to mind, as does Galloway, although he is no longer Labour.

Good evening katertaif.

With few exceptions the entire Labour front bench is populated by MP's with limited linguistic and/or ministerial skills, some definitely have questionable morals, or even photographic evidence of affiliation and hand shaking with known ex terrorist movements... But that's all in the past now so it's ok I suppose.... except when we have British soldiers being hounded and tried for defending our country and way of life by government committees set up and run by exceptionally well paid ministers who have never served the Nation in any position, where their lives or well being are put at risk, indeed some perhaps not even British by birthright. However, the one thing MPs of all parties do have in common is servicing their own personal agendas often times in direct conflict with the will of the electorate who pay their wages...

Perhaps the living standards of our once bright, well educated, fully skilled but always underpaid Nation and workforce have really slipped to the lows of a banana republic... Correspondingly the qualifications, the IQ and morals required by the party claiming to represent the views of the smelly, low caste, unwashed electorate doesn't need to amount to much.. and with few exceptions they don't. Which is pity, just one statesman in the Labour benches with the personality, knowledge, approachability and people skills possessed by Callaghan would put the Tories, (who imho are marginally more trustworthy than Labour) back into opposition.

The Australians have the ideal system which would defeat the renting out of private properties for vast profits paid for by the crown by our 'Honouarable Members'. The AU government have I believe blocks of flats for members use when in Canberra on government business. It's that easy... but that's plainly not way forward for our corrupt deviants..
