I thought I read that this hearing would only produce either a lifting of the ban or another temporary ban but sky news says either lifting or permanent ban. With a later decision on banning it permanently. I wonder what it will be.

according to the twitter thread the verdict is going to be read private with only GA and mcanns lawyers in a office?

The judge said from the start the verdict wouldn't be made public

Not unless Amaral tells the journalists outside

So it will be up to Mr Amaral to announce it if he wishes to. Or his lawyer. Maybe it will be ruled to be a secret. Isn't it a strange case.

depends on the lawyers i suppose and any reporting restrictions. can't see it remaining a secret though.

The mccanns will be telling everyone and off course when the book goes back on sale we will all know.


The mccanns will appeal off course so the book wont go on sale as soon as the announcement is made, after they have appealed and that may take time.

The question is if it is allowed for the lawyers to leak.
