Three-year-old critical after four-storey fall Costa del Sol
Thursday, 19 August 2010 11:28 0 Comments MALAGA - A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy who fell from a fourth-floor window in the Nueva Malaga area, remains in the ICU at Malaga Children’s Hospital in critical condition. He suffered brain trauma and injuries to the liver and spleen. However, he is no longer on a ventilator.
He fell from a height of approximately 15 metres. According to witnesses he had been throwing objects out of the window. It is thought that he may have dropped a toy and fell when he attempted to catch it.
After the fall, he was unconscious for several minutes before he started to fall. The awning of a bar below the apartment broke his fall.

They were my first thoughts too tanszi, whether the parents were in the apartment or had left him alone while they were dining just 50 metres away, his fall highlights that young children really should not be left unattended...ever... whether night or day children have the tendency to always do the unexpected.tanszi wrote:OMG i just so hope he recovers well Again I wonder where the parents/carer were.

The news that he is no longer on a ventilator is a very good sign. At the very least it means there is no serious brain swelling. He is a very lucky boy, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Exactly ms, like the two year old left near a swimming pool, who drowned when her mother went inside to see to her brother.malena stool wrote:They were my first thoughts too tanszi, whether the parents were in the apartment or had left him alone while they were dining just 50 metres away, his fall highlights that young children really should not be left unattended...ever... whether night or day children have the tendency to always do the unexpected.tanszi wrote:OMG i just so hope he recovers well Again I wonder where the parents/carer were.
