Tommy Sheridan learns his fate today
Sheridan is back in court today for sentencing following his conviction for perjury last month. He has already been warned he faces jail.
At this rate they may need to build a new jail for all the politicians serving sentences. Chator banged up, Illsey and Taylor also to be sentenced in due course.

Amazing isn't it you wait ages for one corrupt politician to come along and then four come together.

Sentence - 3 years.

In mitigation Sheridan spoke in his own defence:
Shame he didn't think of his family when lying in court to earn a few quid off the NotW.

In mitigation Sheridan spoke in his own defence:
"The 46-year-old said that the media were "baying" for the judge to make an example of him but asked Lord Bracadale to treat him as leniently as possible.
He finished his plea in mitigation by saying: "I expect to deal with custody but my primary concern is the devastating affect it will have on my family."
In total, Sheridan spoke for just under 40 minutes, during which time he never admitted guilt or protested his innocence."
Shame he didn't think of his family when lying in court to earn a few quid off the NotW.

I believe that would be the norm with the second half under licence on the outside.
