Re: Footie Thread...................
Feel a bit sorry for Torres really, wasn't his fault they paid so much for him.
Think Abramobich made a big mistake getting rid of the crowds favourite in Di Matteo also feel a bit sorry for Benitez, though he is obviously being well compensated for his efforts.
Chelsea have got to go through a process of rebuilding as the old guard are past it now.I'm wondering if Ray Wilkins is still around as he was a great influence on their previous success, not sure what he's been up to since he got done for drink driving ?
So Spurs just about got one over on Swansea, the fans i saw up in town yesterday seemed very pleased anyway.

Re: Footie Thread...................
would love to thrash you in a Cup, lets hope it happens some day.
As for getting relegated, we are slowly creeping up, fifth place now, ready to overtake Spurs
and Chelsea. We are poised for a late run in the New Year, especially as Frank and Terry will be
heavily hung over from their drinking sessions and eating too many mince pies!

Re: Footie Thread...................
We have plenty of spare baseball bats in our arsenal cherry !
I could tell you a story about the time me and three mates were on our way to Gillingham for an away game one Saturday and we were stopped at a road block just outside the town as the cops had been told to make us Millwall fans very welcome as normal.Well i had been working on a building site that morning and still had all my tools in the boot, which included several pick axe handles which the labourers had asked me to get for them.well i had completely forgotten about them when the cops asked what i had in the boot and so i had to convince them what a nice bloke i am really !
So anyway they just let us go as we are such nice people with such a pleasant reputation.
This was about 30 years ago and we've had a bit more practice now.

Still drunk I see You should have a
Don't get too carried away Cherry! Its only the bottom of the table team!!! Though a win is a win and 5 goals is good going. The mighty Spurs have played all the top teams (apart from Chelsea) away now & are still 4th.... so have all them to play at home...4th is not looking for Arsenal from where I am sitting!!

Abramovich will ruin Chelsea, he treats the club and fans like toys. Though not his greatest fan I did feel sorry for Di Matteo as he deserved to stay on until the end of the season at least. But soon as he dropped Torres this was it, Abramovich just wants Torres as the main striker whatever and I think he felt Rafa would be the one who can get the best from him. As for Wilkins, I could never understand why he was sacked, nobody in their right mind would have sacked him from Chelsea but this just shows Abramovich and what very little respect he has for the club imo

Re: Footie Thread...................
Well we got off to a bad start and it hasn't even kicked off yet our best player has just stubbed his toe in the warm up and can't play.So we was all set to play to a pattern with two strikers and now its gone pear shaped !

Re: Footie Thread...................
And Brighton score a late penalty and it finishes
Brighton 2-2 Millwall
Disappointing to let a two goal lead slip but would have settled for a point before the start so well done.
