The Civil Guard confirmed to the EFE news agency on Wednesday that a suspected paedophile, a 48 year old British man, named as P.F.C., was arrested at his home in Benidorm last Thursday on a warrant issued by the UK for alleged child pornography and sexual abuse of minors.
He is also understood to have been wanted for questioning in connection with similar offences under Civil Guard investigation in Villajoyosa.
A laptop computer, two memory cards and around 50 CDs were confiscated in a search of his home, and are being inspected by officers for any pornographic content.
