British man arrested for allegedly beating his children in Mija Costa

A 40 year old British resident of Mijas, named with the initials D.E.M., has been arrested by the Local Police for beating his 14 and 15 year old children, who were spending some days on holiday with their father.

The two children went up to a pair of policemen on duty in La Cala de Mijas on Thursday afternoon, asking where they could denounce their father, and expressing their wish to return to England and their mother.

The police noted that both children had some injuries, and accompanied them to the local health centre, where doctors certified a case of violence.

Local Police then activated the protocol for such cases, informing the juvenile prosecutor, so that the two children can be repatriated to the U.K., given that they had not other family in Málaga province.

The local police then arrested the alleged aggressor who is now awaiting an appearance in court.
