The ISPCC ISPCC Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children yesterday told of its outrage at the lack of action in tracking down the Kenyan girls who disappeared on a Co Meath scout trip last July.

A child protection conference heard it is likely they have been abducted and sold for sex.

These innocents are among 388 foreign kids who have gone missing from state care since 2000.

Fine Gael's Alan Shatter last night described the HSE's attitude as "scandalous" and added: "They seem to attach less value to the lives of these children than to Irish-born children."

It's true though. The gardai don't care about these kids and the media never bother to highlight their cases.

One instance about one girl that went missing in Carragaline in cork. It wasn't publicised at all. The Gardai did knock door to door in a few areas including my own area as I live across the river from this area. I don't know how many door to door knocks there were but I've heard nothing about this girl since. They had a photo of the child. Nothing else. There were no posters put up in shops for this kid . I can't remember her name off hand but will find it.
