An Austrian schoolgirl whose disappearance was once linked to incest monster Josef Fritzl has been found dead - in an Austrian cellar.

Sixteen-year-old Julia Kuehrer vanished after she was seen climbing into a silver car in June 2006 – and detectives working on the case of Josef Fritzl who was arrested in 2008 had questioned him about the case of Julia.

Julia also featured in a book about the Fritzl and speculation on whether the convicted rapist had been involved in her disappearance.

But now the schoolgirl's body has been found in a cellar of a house in the Austrian village of Dietmannsdorf 50 miles north of Vienna.

The owner of the house who is in investigative custody, and named only as Michael K., 50, for legal reasons, has denied knowing anything about how the body ended up in the property.

But police revealed he had known Julia through a video shop that he owned in the area and had also owned a silver van similar to the one she was seen climbing into at the time of her disappearance.

When she vanished he had moved from the property to the Austrian capital Vienna and in an echo in the case of Natasha Kampusch who was also kept locked up in a cellar for eight years police revealed that they had questioned Michael K., but had not searched his property where the body had been dumped in a cellar.

In the case of Natasha police had also questioned her kidnapper Wolfgang Priklopil but had also failed to investigate his property where she was held in a cellar after he convinced them that he was nothing to do with the case.

This is terrible, first Natascha, then Fritzl and now this poor girl! All in a relatively short space of time. I find it incomprehensible.
