Madeleine disappeared allegedly because the McCs werent there at the time, they believe she was taken by paedophiles, and her photo needs protecting from abuse. But what about those unofficial pages - were they owned by someone, or a group?
If so, was permission sought before these ~~smash-and-grab raids~~, sorry, 'merges', took place?

Apparently not according to the amount of comments on twitter.

It is clearly done by Facebook because the McCanns asked for the pages that question their version to be removed and Facebook must have said no can't do that but can merge. Thus losing the pages anyway as no "webmaster" from official page can whoosh any comments they don't like. (My thoughts anyway but make sense)

Carter-Ruck involved? We'll probably never know.

I thought it was members of facebook complaining that their "don"t like" was changed to "like" without their authority and that the Met was investigating because the facebook account was appealing for contributions. Have a look at the first post on this thread and see what you
make of it. The McCanns are paranoid, wouldn"t be surprised if they try to close down all antiMcCann Forums.

I think the McCann's abuse and fraud with Face book accounts suggests they are a tad worried that all might not be going their way. Books not selling, Funds drying up, Amaral unfazed by their lies and abuse, Court case coming up and the twins quickly coming towards the age where they could start to wonder just where were mummy and daddy when Maddie went AWOL? Because back in 2007 they must have thought this whole rotten mess would have been put to bed by now.

Ain't that the truth. Who amongst us would ever have thought that nearly five years later this case would still be discussed and disected?? This IMO must be the thinking of the McCanns - I have no doubt that they would never have imagined their version of events would still be discussed almost five years later. They must be absolutely sick that this is still the case........................... I believe they thought it would be a 12 day wonder and people would have accepted their version long ago - that's not happened and I hope we are still all here until some sort of justice for Madeleine is found..................

Facebook (at the McCann's request has merged all pages about the disappearance of Madeleine and added all those who "liked" (a bit like joining here once you "like" you can post) any of the previous pages (whether pro or anti McCann version of events) to the official Find Madeleine page. This was done without the consent of the other page owners or the members of them either. Thus now the official page has had massive increase in "likes" and whenever a dissenting voice is posted on the page it is whooshed and the poster is blocked.

Has anyone seen the youtube video 'Maddie Mccann seen on CCTV, not the one with the man and girl. This starts out with a song never gonna gv u up then eventually 2 side by side pics come up. one with madeleine in 07 and other of a girl in 09. The girl looks exactly like her and how i would think she would look like. She has exact same nose, face, and her eye is the same. It prob been checked out but just in case it was missed posting. Please keep spirits up. I believe she will find her way back to you.

Well, I just went and had a look myself and it starts off with some text...Maddie Court on CCTV (I think he means "caught") and a cartoon Maddie. It then says "shes (sic) the one with blonde hair" and goes on to display an age-progression pic of a redhead.

Well i thought to myself, surely this has to be a pi55 take, so I looked up TomFinn123 and some of his other videos, and I wish I hadn't. They are all clips from video games, some with lovely titles such as "Anal Rape" and "Steve Anus". Yes, folks, these are the nice people that they entertain on their page and promote their sick videos. How can people honestly be so gullible, that's the part I just cannot understand, they don't even have the brains they were born with.

I hope the owners of the FB pages that have been so aggresively taken over, censored and supressed by the Mc's are expressing their anger at the FB adminisrators. If I set up a page about Man Utd can I then get all the Man U pages amalgamated to mine? Is it that simple?? I could go from 0 - a half a million members in a day if that was the case!!
