I am having the most awful premonition of a Bob Geldof type of get-together to produce a "charity" single for the McCanns. Here's a reminder of the first time he did this in 1984. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5cX_ncZLls

Perhaps the more inventive amongst us can think of alternative words suitable for the McCanns to go with the tune.

Asking members on their site to send in suggestions of songs that remind them of Madeleine is a ridiculous idea. So lets get this straight, the McCanns are asking people who have never met their daughter and who have no memories of her, to send to them titles of songs that remind them of her. Hi Autumn. Yes songs that remind them of Madeleine. Well actually what they, the fans, have been told about Madeleine and the fairy tale by her devoted parents. So something very slow and mawkish would do well with the words pink, play monsters, tuppenceworth, best day ever. But of course it must have a verse in it about their loss and their pain.
Sad thing is I bet they will be taken up on this bad taste suggestion.

You got there before me Bobsy. When you read some of the sentimental ramblings that the McCann fans put on message boards, you'd think that they actually knew Madeleine and what she was like. After 4 years of confusing photos, some of which appear to be of different children, and being told virtually nothing about what she liked to say and do, I haven't got a clue of what she was like!
