There's a rumour going round Kate's in the NY Honours list

Lose a child you can't be bothered to look after then get every other mug to pay for a search of which you take no part, then get a fucking medal for it!

I would agree with TEIN on this one.
IIRC, after a committee-led sifting process, the prime minister submits the proposed names to the Queen.

If the balloon goes up next year, Cameron will look very foolish indeed (especially as it's 'his review').
Worse still, he will also make Her Maj look foolish.
His judgement will come into question.
And the 1922 Committee will probably have his head (and his spherical appendages) on a plate.

But what better way to influence the outcome of

Well, I think it must be a hoax. I'm sure no one with any sense would put someone forward for such an award who had abandoned three children night after night and had not actually been exonerated in the disappearance of one of them.

I also think it's a hoax AnnaEsse. I've Googled the New Year's honours list for 2012 and there is nothing on there that says Kate McCann is to receive a medal. I have also Googled, Kate McCann is to receive a medal in the 2012 New Year's honours list and nothing came up. While I was Googling, I had a look to see if Kate was a winner in the Galaxy Book Award that she was nominated for and she wasn't in the list of winners.

The person who wrote the sycophantic post about Kate, in this link, must have been as sick as a parrot when she didn't win the award.

I've never, ever heard of anyones award in the New Years Honours this early so it's a wind up.

The recipients would know by now, but the overall list won't be published yet.

This has got to be a false rumour started purely as a wind-up. There`s no way someone who is under investigation would get an honour from the Queen. Its absolute piffle.

I thought you had to have done something deserving, like special service to the community or to a charity etc. What has Kate McCann done for the community or for a charity? She has already cost the police, in the UK and in Portugal, a great deal of money. Charities? Well, she has turned up at various charity events and has done fund-raising running, but all of those activities have been to highlight her own appeals for money for their private company, the Madeleine Fund.
