Of course there was no note advertising that the kids were being left alone, the suggestion is ridiculous, but conveniently supports the pre-meditated abduction theory.

As mentioned above, Kate is just trying to pass the blame on to anyone other than themseleves. This is the one thing that her and Gerry seem to be very good at.

The irony of her complaint is that she claims to be horrified that anyone might know that her children were being abandoned every night, yet Gerry felt it was perfectly normal to advertise the same fact to strangers he just met. Further, in admitting horror over anyone finding out that the children were left unattended, she is in fact admitting that her and Gerry's decision to leave the children alone was a risky one. Had their decision not placed the children in danger, then it would not have bothered her that the whole world knew about it. This was a big slip up by Kate, IMO.

Plus of course leaving the Patio Doors unlocked because they were too lazy to walk around to the front door.

Gerry"s remark about "it was like dining in the garden " really is a pathetic excuse.

Judging by the substantial size of Rothley Towers, the garden could be the size of a football pitch - so Gerry's famous remark "like dining in your back garden" could actually be true!!

Morning NBY the big mistake the PJ made was not to have a recon while the McCanns were in PDL. It would have shown up all these discrepancies .

How could the McCanns have the arrogance to say they would only attend if it was treated like a Crimestoppers programme when in fact it was a Portugese suggestion to aid the investigation.

I just hope this SY Review is truthful and does nothing to undermine the PJ investigation. If it is, the McCanns will disappear without a trace and Cameron can say goodbye to being re-elected.

I personally believe the SY review will be seen to be truthful, in as much as any items found which may show the McCanns in a bad light will be omitted shown as inapplicable, ambiguous, hearsay or glossed over, all other facts being truly represented. There has been far to much support from the Brown administration and absolutely no challenges to the McCanns obnoxious actions or statements from any Political Party, MP, the House of Lords, Child Protection Agency, Charity or Judicial Board, since Madeleine disappeared.

Has the Leveson enquiry done anything ? Did Lord Leveson accept the McCanns maudlin comments without trying to investigate the truth of their claims?
Is every request under the FOI act to receive specific information about the McCanns denied? Is there not one fearless Journalist with the support of the
Owner willing to do a proper investigation.?

I am convinced the McCanns were protected from day 1, Lawyers, PR support, Government support etc, this was not just because the McCanns are Doctors and Middle class. Even now, when cracks have appeared and the McCanns are seen as moneygrabbing parents who have never once spent any money on proffessional Investigators, they still remain the untouchables.

I would hope so, but if true that Leveson is pally with Cameron/Murdoch , don"t expect impartiality. Even the CCC let James Murdoch off the hook when
there was evidence he had lied.

does the CCC have powers to admonish or enable retribution, or are they there to just ask questions, look at the answers and issue a report detailing the findings.

Look at the Levenson enquiry, in some areas, particularly relating to the McCs, Levenson stated Madeleine was abducted as fact, why there is nothing to confirm she was abducted. Mr McC stated he was open to theories, and Mrs McC stated there was no DNA in the car, and none of the statements was queried. Neither was the publishing of the diary in Portugese, or the suggestion that Clarrie gave permisson tothe NOW. Levenson said it was all ambiguous. I felt Levenson showed biastoward the McCs. Im not suggesting they should have received a grilling but the opportunity to bash the PJ and portuguese was taken without recourse to the actions of the McCs.

Hi tanzi, first of all, it is a grave offence to lie to the CCC which was proved by the NOTW staff, yet the CCC did nothing. Similarly, Levenson should never
have allowed the Mccanns to attend, this was about phone hacking NOT libel. did he order an investigation to find out who was lying , the NOTW or
the McCanns. It was a well known fact that the Portugese paper had printed the article before the NOTW and the McCanns were paid hamdsomely so
why gripe 3 years later ?
