Sorry, I gave up part-way through trying to read that: The author doesn't seem to have much grasp of punctuation or grammar and the prose is tortured.

Faked Abduction’ Born In The USA

Take one train of McCann thought and then look closely at the word order. The McCann’s can’t lie. This is their undeniable weakness and this is what makes the case so fascinating. They have to employ others to tell their tales for them. Sometimes the McCann’s themselves have to open their mouths and then the truth just floods out. Kate in this regard is not unlike you or I. She, Gerry and the rest of the clan are not great wordsmiths and sometimes it all tumbles out – truth an’all.

Page 290 of ‘Madeleine’ ..“We have taken action against one or two websites, but it has proved almost impossible to get this stuff removed from some of them, particularly those hosted in the USA. Friends flag up some of the worst offenders……particularly those hosted in the USA” Now look again at just the word order ”USA Friends flag up some of the worst offenders….” And yes you’ve spotted it – I’ve removed the full stop. The full stop that someone put in. Now look at what Kate said:

Based in the USA Stephen Bernard Marsdens (aka Brian Johnson), precise role as McCann published author, ‘Faked Abduction’ has not been clear to many if any at all. It might be that through a long and at times tortuous association, one in which I was referred to as “friend” for no apparent reason, I have gained some small insight of the man as author to share with you now.

In simple terms Marsden, the blogger and poster aka Stevo, appears as a ghost or trick of the light. In one moment he does as one and next does as another. Without a shadow of a doubt Marsden is also a very clever and at the same time a most self-serving man. Qualities I know some might well find attractive and are themselves not without a certain allure or merit yet sadly to me they appear as nothing such. Marsden in my opinion is an anathema, a jumble or simply a confusion as a set of ideas fit to be considered only to be dismissed.

The Only Other Book

Along the way it has been my experience both of Marsden and of his book ’Faked Abduction’ both are only at their very best as a confusion of ideas, lacking focus or perspective. The title says it all you might say but having read the book I am no more clear as to understanding Marsdens true direction on the case than I am in understanding the actions of a leaf blown in the wind.

Marsden is a computer expert of the very highest order. Those who have been unfortunate enough to have had contact with Marsden on the internet will have become or been made aware of Marsdens complete mastery of this computer science and his undoubted excellence in this field. What Marsden doesn’t know about Personal Computers or the inner workings of the internet really isn’t worth knowing. Marsdens computer career started back in the 80′s writing code for Atari games consoles or similar. Next he went to the USA on a job placement to write particular software and games programs. He seemed to like it so he stayed.

Anthony Bennett of The Madeleine Foundation an internet rookie in many senses had been remarkably quick to appreciate Marsden and his special talents. No doubt thinking Marsden would be a most useful arrow in his quiver by the time I arrived on the scene Bennett had already teamed up with Marsden and was already employing him as his Webmaster. It must be said that although the two men undoubtedly understood each other well and seemed to share a special relationship or bond the precise nature of their relationship was never revealed to me. I never once witnessed them speak directly one to one on any matter.

Cast your mind back – when the McCann’s lawyers wrote to bloggers to cease and desist I commented to Marsden how extremely lucky it was for him the American constitution guaranteed him his right to free speech whilst for those of us based in the UK no such guarantees existed. Marsdens sites are all hosted on servers and run by personnel based inside US borders making him, and I suspect I did actually use the word, ‘untouchable’.

Marsdens quick response to my simple observation was complete and utter outrage. That I should even suggest such a thing was he said, “certainly not luck or lucky at all”. When I read those words for the first time they haunted me. I did not know why they did but they did. I was never quite sure what he meant. Only later was I able to appreciate Marsdens most deliberate use of those words might not have been entirely without justification.

Friends in the north

Pat Perkins here seen helping out at Brian & Susan Healys home with soundbites, prayers and rubber band sales. It may be worth mentioning at this point the name Marsden although an unusual name is also the surname of Pat Perkins daughter – she married a Marsden, and they have a son. Pat Perkins is Susan Healys’ Kate McCann’s mothers lifelong friend. The Marsdens are a family from York in Yorkshire. The Perkins wedding took place at York registry office and not in Liverpool the home town of the bride the traditional or expected venue.

Yorkshire is also the home county of the Wrights and many others directly related to the family McCann. Even an Eveleigh or two can be glimpsed serving on some of the local town councils. Yorkshire alsohappens to be the home county of Stephen Bernard Marsden. To this day despite Marsden living in the USA he still has relatives in Yorkshire.

The last York connection worth detailing is that of John Geraghty, the McCann’s business friend. Geraghty is a York Rite FreeMason. Geraghty lived in York for a number of years after he moved down from Scotland (Glasgow) before moving on to Leicestershire. Geraghty has also been photographed attending meetings held at the Provincial Grand Lodge in the city of York.

Steve Marsden not Stevo but the other one, Pat Perkins son-in-law who coincidently also likes to use the shortened version ‘Steve’ as his preferred forename, is a civil engineering graduate from Liverpool Uni. Luckily for him upon graduation he immediately found full-time employment. His director is a boss by the name of Geraghty. This is not our ‘John’ but another man also bearing the exact same name as our John Geraghty.

This Geraghty just like our John also happens to be Irish by descent and is also a director of a large public construction company. He is about the same age as our John but this one doesn’t build hospitals. He tenders and builds Gvmt defence infrastructure contracts of a very highly specialised – read secret – nature. The transactions this Geraghty oversees usually entail Gvmt land development of one sort or another military bases and airfields included. The selling off of Gvmt land to private developers for housing development and/or civil amenities is part of the money making strategy employed to fund Geraghtys ‘essential’ defence infrastrucure works.

For one last and very final time it is now time to return to Marsdens book and the matter of buying of it or not. Some would have you believe this act is akin to putting money directly into the bank accounts of the McCann’s. Then there are others who might very well say perish the thought. As an investor in Marsdens book - I loaned Marsden about $500 or thereabouts to publish the book - you might think I more than anyone else should have more reason than most to exhort you to buy it. If it matters at all to anyone I must now say I sincerely regret the fact I can make no such recommendation. Not now. Not ever.

Buy his book if you must that is your decision. Perhaps it is all bunkum – all of it or any of it. In the final analysis it matters not a jot to me as I happen to believe the chances of me seeing any of my money again are about the same as anyone seeing the McCann’s daughter Madeleine McCann alive again in this world or perhaps if such a thing is possible even in the next .

Can't really get my head around this, imo there must be easier ways of helping the Mcs (If he is) then going to all the effort of writing his "Faked abuduction" book, if he is that clever with the computer he would do something a bit more "helpful"

I can’t believe that nobody seems to have noticed Gerry’s blundering answer when, shortly after Madeleine’s ‘disappearance’, a reporter asked him. This is on record.
Q: ‘What is the purpose of the fund?’
R: It is to continue looking for Madeleine after the official search ends.
He was sure that none of the efforts of the Portuguese Authorities, Polícia Judiciária, Polícia de Segurança Pública, Polícia Marítima, etc. did stand a cat in hell chance of finding the unfortunate child.
The McCanns are the only people that NEVER looked for Madeleine/

I have said that the McCanns NEVER looked for Madeleine because, while their friends were knocking on doors waking up the dead that evening asking everybody to look for the little girl that ‘had been abducted’, it was later established that her parents never moved from their apartment but were busy deleting compromising calls from their mobiles. (This is on record too).
When it was generally felt that the McCanns were not doing enough to find Madeleine and no Portuguese detective agency would touch them, they resorted to a well-known Barcelona Agency to which they paid a substantial sum (€50,000 from memory. It was not their money, was it?). The Agency immediately made a big song and dance of informing the world that they knew Madeleine was being held in Morocco and they were going to get her. I was furious. It took me a while but in the end I managed to speak to the Managing Director in clear Spanish. I asked how was it that a Detective Agency of their standing could make such a ridiculous assertion making it known ‘they knew Madeleine was held in Morocco and they were going to get her’. He tried to wriggle out of it but in the end he said ‘DON’T ASK ME. THAT’S THE PARENTS STRATEGY’.
I am in no doubt that the truth will be known and Justice will be done IN THE END. It is doubly unfortunate that the ‘incident’ took place at the start of the Algarve tourist season so crucial for the Portuguese economy. Otherwise the Judiciária would have cut out all the pussyfooting from the outset.
