I live in the Algarve and know enough people who are still interested. If anyone feels there is an injustice you should stand up and fight, no matter what. Look at the civil rights movement in the US or women's rights! There are still plenty of people wanting to see justice and Gonçalo is still up and fighting. I also think that TVI is there too ready to fight. I'm not giving up and I can the same for a lot of other people!!!

Give up?? What? What have we suffered from the McCanns and their spin? Maybe sleepless nights, anger, bad moods. Maybe you should remember what Gonçalo Amaral and Tony Bennett have gone through and are still going through. Gonçalo Amaral suffered loss of income, attacks against his reputation, a divorce, to name just a few things. Tony Bennett is hounded by Carter Ruck, threatened with destitution. Have either one of them given up? NO!!!!

This is just about the final straw for me, folks. I was really hopeful about the SY review but it looks like it is going to be the whitewash that we feared. Now that I've heard it from Amaral, I'm very near to packing up shop and forgetting about this case, after almost 5 years. This latest news from Amaral that SY will only countenance the abduction is just one roller coaster ride too far. :-(

Tony Bennett and Gonçalo Amaral have not given up and that's good enough for me. There were many positive points from the last two days. The Panorama show released a lot of information about the case that the British have never seen. GA's books were finally returned. Gonçalo Amaral was able to speak openly about the case on TVI. The Portuguese authorities refuse to reopen the case on the basis of an abduction as demanded by SY. I'm not giving up. It's not as if my whole life is centered around the Maddie case either.

I understand how you feel, i left ages ago as i felt it was going nowhere . Then the last month or so i started to come back and read what was going on .

The thing to remember is that no matter what SY say, what they want, it is up to the Portuguese to decide to open the case again or not, and what the parameters will be. Not Andy Redwood and co.

Think about it , if Andy Redwood had said in these interviews that he believed she was dead, what would happen to him? Removed from the case, sued? I do not think he has any choice but to say she "could" still be alive.

I don't think they can afford to open it otherwise surely they would want to exonerate themselves and expose the McCanns and their friends?

I feel quite sure that €10 from everyone who really wants the Case un-archived would amount to a heck of a lot of finance!
