I Believe We Can Make A Difference via Twitter/Facebook!

I have been shocked by the sudden influx of views on my videos.

10 days ago I was at 80,000 views after a year of producing the videos. Not bad I thought.

I now have more than 70 videos...the majority telling a 'story' about the case, some uploads of comments, interviews and documentaries and a couple of indirectly related TV Movies (Small Sacrifices and Perfect Murder, Perfect Town..JonBenet)

Many of the videos, as you know, are around 10 mins in length, designed to give as much info about the topic and handy to use as reference...but with as much impact as I could manage. Those videos take me about 50-70 hrs to produce with research, compilation, converting and going through hours of other videos to find the 'clip' that I want.

However, I have just started doing 'McMinute' videos giving a quick way of getting the 'info' out there, whether by direct uploads of specific clips or different topics that I have compiled a few details together.

My aim is to be 'our' voice.

It is so frustrating to see comments about the case that we cannot respond to....With videos we can!

As mentioned, the videos are now being watched....5,000 per day now and another 2,000 just while I was asleep last night!

Wednesday evening I was at 89,995....Its now Friday morning 7.00am and the views stand at 96,959...nearly 7,000 in 36 hrs!

Although I recognise this is a time when Madeleine's name is popular, if we can somehow keep the momentum of 5,000 a day (or even less) that would be 35,000 views a week 140,000 a month with most of my videos showing the cadaver dogs and forensic photos (important considering the text from the files may have been minimised by certain comments)

I am willing to start producing as many new 'McMinute' videos as I can so that anyone who has a Twitter account can send them or retweet mine. All you need is an account and the ability to click on 'retweet'

I think u r doing an excellent job with the videos and u do ok on Twiitter so that's all that matters. I've only been on twitter a few months and just get by but I wouldn't touch Facebook with a barge pole.I don't think it's secure enough.

I retweet many of ur videos and I think the last few days has been hectic with the Brunt full dna match. I tweeted it straight from YouTube and then retweeted ur's as well. . Now others r retweeting it. I think it's a winner.

Last month, in Quebec, we had one of the biggest companies that was forced to give up judicial procedures against a small business BECAUSE of the bashing/banning of her products on Facebook/tweeter.

We should not underestimate their powers..

With approval, I would like to open a thread only for McMinute videos to keep updating and have them handy to retweet when anyone has a few minutes. (not a sticky as I never see those!)

Have just watched programme again thanks to your posting it on youtube. It seems to me to be designed to please both sides of the Maddie debate. A huge boost for the McCann believers is having the former HS state that he was clear that the McCanns were victims in this case. The portrayal of Amaral will also please the pros. However, there were a couple of sublimal messages imo. The first was when the camera focuses on the flower bed as Bilton talks about wondering exactly what happened in apartment 5 A. It is, as we know, one of the places indicated by the cadaver sniffer dog and an extremely unlikely place for anyone to consider planting evidence, as McCann claimed had happened...The other was when the camera focused on the word 'rich' before mentioning Kate's book.

Bilton seems sceptical about the chances of SY being able to solve this case, but was encouraging to hear that SY allegedly have fresh evidence not contained in the police files, although this could just be sightings by deluded folk on holiday.

I also appreciated the querying of why so much money has been spent on this one case and David Cameron might be called on to explain why he allowed himself to be pressured by The Sun and News International into agreeing to a review

Any other suggestion would help for future videos...
