I have just seen on Facebook that someone has seen on twitter ( I know, roundabout way) that two tents have been erected on the search site. Does this mean that something has been found?

Re: Twitter
Nope. It's certainly a way for Police Forces to meet in the field without the interference of the press. But it is true as I've seen photos.

Plus we won't know if they are sharing sardines for lunch.

I hate them but I think by the end of June it's time.

You're very welcome. As far as I know no digging has started yet.

Re: Twitter
God those photos are eery and almost lonely. How I hope the little one is found, regardless of the outcome of Operation Grange, i hope Madeleine is found and laid to rest. I hope this for the people of PDL too who really do not deserve to have to go through this. Perhaps this will be their final restless summer and they can at long last look forward.

I love them but I know we cannot get them in the winter. Only Carapou (probably did not spell that correctly) I don't like them, not the same.

I can't imagine kitti, God knows which tack they would take if that happened. You only have to try and imagine a burglar taking off with Madeleine and then immediately burying her near to the apartment (shovel at the ready, as burglars do) within the tight time line of the McCann's, it is impossible. So many people were looking after the alert.
Therefore it was not a burglar what done it but someone before the alert went out. If it was my newspaper that is what I would put.

If she's there, she certainly wasn't during the initial searches. I keep wondering what intelligence they have and I always come back to the Grimes comment about other areas needing further investigation. These investigations never happened and by that time attention was diverted far and wide AWAY from PDL.
Because of the indications in the car, everybody has assumed she was moved away from PDL, but what if the opposite is true, and she was brought BACK at some point?

I'm not very Portuguese in that sense. I hate sardinhas and carapau. But I do love bacalhau so there's hope for me.

Yes there is Claudia. I don't like bacalhau though, always find it too salty. Give me a nice fat dourada or robalo Also like the polvo and the chocos. There is a fish restaurant, well large shed, in Tavira who BBQ all types of fish (not robalo obviously too expensive) They keep serving you as much fish as you can eat, keep asking if you want more.
You have fresh salad, potatoes, olives, bread, tomato bread. Your drinks (wine, beer or soft drinks) a basket of fruit on the table and coffee. The price is, wait for it, 11 euros each. Everyone sits on long benches, makes for a good atmosphere. If it is summer, you have to chalk your name on a blackboard and wait. In the winter you can usually find a space. it is spotlessly clean. The secret is in the turnover. I never went there until my son tried it. I always thought it was chicken they served. It is fantastic.

A long time ago, before I became a vegetarian, I spent a month camping in Jersey and we ate a lot of sardines cos they were cheap and easy!
ETA: I also liked them!

Re: Twitter
I can let you into a little secret that I found out many years ago while working at Balmoral.
H.M. The Queen's favourite "everyday" table wine is .... wait for it..... Mateus Rosé!
I prefer Vinho Verde myself, though.

Oh Mateus Rose, that brings back memories from times gone by. A friend and I got drunk on that. We both fell in the bath and could not get out for laughing. Don't ask what we were doing in the bathroom together because I cannot remember. Had to have a day off work the next day and I have never touched a drop of it since

Re: Twitter
You are all more Portuguese than I am. Apart from bacalhau I don't really eat fish and I also eat little meat. I don't like vinho verde or Mateus Rosé. And I certainly don't like piri piri. I'm feeling ashamed.
