Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
The question is not how Kate's book is selling but why does she need to produce another one. Wasn't "every penny" for the "search for Madeleine"? Now SY is apparently doing that what is this "new" book for?

Perhaps they hadn't quite managed to pay off the mortgage on Rothley Towers on the proceeds of the first book?

In our WH Smith this morning, if you buy any other book, you can get Kate's one for £1.

Bloomin' 'eck!
Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
Perhaps it will soon be obligatory to have a copy?
I can see Gideon (of Bible fame) getting twitched.

There's a thought - the Gospel according to St Kate being provided in hotels instead of Gideon Bibles! For some, it would be a quick way to the Land of Nod but for me, the lies and insults about the police and anyone who doesn't believe her plus the unsavoury comments about Madeleine herself would have quite the opposite effect.

susible wrote:Found a link here that seems to be a comprehensive list of the bestsellers of 2011...Kate's book sold 246,939 copies and is ranked overall at No 19, the book grossed £2,504,671.44p. this does not include the paperback though..will have a look for that.
Here's the link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AonYZs4MzlZbdEt2cEFFXzZ1RFgydXVXcVYyd1RYSFE#gid=0
That's roughly 10 pounds a book - but does this include the foreign language editions? If it does, Transworld will not be happy because the advance is almost sure to have been more than a quarter of a million. One might assume a million at least as an advance, take off production, distribution, publicity etc. they're making a smallish profit, not a great number of sales, considering how worldwide the interest in Maddie was.

Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
Would be interesting to wonder at what price Amaral's book would sell for in W H smith or Waterstones or asda or tesco or amazon?

Yup.
Snowflake, i dont reply very often. I am quite unwell at the minute, but am reading all the time.
You always seem to reply, with what i can only describe as............................ support for Kate McCann.
I dont know what other way to put it, other than that.
There are an awful lot of people who want to read Amaral's book. Many many more people than had wanted to read Kates book.
I have read both (paid for neither, and i can tell you Amaral's book is a book, Kates is a self self self self load of nonsense!

Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
I think Kate will end up regretting writing the book, it has just given SY more evidence of her
inconsistencies, changes in what she has already said, discrepancies and contradictions, as well
of course as what she has written on page 129 - I think she has well and truly dropped herself in it.
sorry to hear you are not well The evidence, hope your health will soon pick up xx

Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
Well I for one cant wait to read it if printed in English in UK and I know of many others
who cant wait either. He was at the heart of the investigation, what I have seen of the
book on the internet is extremely interesting and I would think that SY would be thinking
so too. He has a lot of experience in detective work and is nobodys fool.

I'm sure NSY have read all the files which is what is really important
Can't imagine they have read either Amaral's book or Kate's "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeewk"
Surely if NSY wish to draw on his "experience in detective work" they will no doubt speak to him in person rather than read his book which as yet has not found an english publisher?

I'm sure SY will have a copy of the book and will speak to him in person.
SY will have a copy of Kate's book and officers will be going through it with a fine tooth comb
marking out the contradictions, discrepancies, changes etc., just as they will be doing with
every interview given whether in a magazine, on video, etc.,
SY will be paying special interest to page 129 of Kate's book as well.
Everything Kate has written in her book will be a massive help to SY in solving this case!

Excellent!
Should be easy for them to solve then, all that evidence in the videos, magazines, TV interviews, amaral's book and kate's "beeeeeeeeeeeeeewk"

Very few people know about Amaral's book. If it were available in the shops as it should be, with the usual mention/critique in newspapers and so on, it would sell very well imo.

Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
I'm not sure what all the hidden meanings or implications are in Snowflakes obsession with Kate Healy's Book but, cutting a swathe through it, I am greatly interested in the prospect of being able to buy and read Amaral's book - but suspect that won't happen until after the Case brought against him by Healy & McCann.
The playing field is not yet level , and Amaral is behaving with dignity in the face of the self-interested actions of the former Arguidos.

Re: How's the Book selling, Kate?
Totally agree TENI, it would be interesting also to know why Amaral's book cannot find a publisher prepared to make it available in English, when Kate's latest revelations of narcissistic drool is seemingly on tap for £1, but only if you buy a real book....The End Is Nigh wrote:I'm not sure what all the hidden meanings or implications are in Snowflakes obsession with Kate Healy's Book but, cutting a swathe through it, I am greatly interested in the prospect of being able to buy and read Amaral's book - but suspect that won't happen until after the Case brought against him by Healy & McCann.
