Any one remember this comment?
When Gerry McCann thought they had something on him, and I'm only remembering this, no real proof, because it's gone, but I remember him saying on camera that he had kept quiet about what he knows and why would,t they come clean with what they know. He was talking about police files as I remember. Any one else recall this?

Re: Any one remember this comment?
Are you sure you're not thinking of the first interview for Sky with Ian Woods where GMcC said something like 'and if we did, we wouldn't tell you.. haha' ?
On another note, I was thinking of the comment he made after arguidoisation 'we're fkd' or something along those lines... and trying to remember who he said this to and how we know about it. Seems like such an odd thing to say if one is innocent. I mean, if you're innocent and you're feeling you're 'fkd' surely this would be because you believe you're being framed, in which case, you wouldn't say 'we're fkd' you'd say 'they're trying to frame us'. I do remember hearing Aunty Nora in a radio/telephone interview saying that KMcC had told her the PJ's were 'corrupt', so I guess this could be what GMcC was implying with this 'fkd' business, but still..... afaic 'we're fkd' means 'we've fkd it up'.

I found this: -
A bit later on she recounts: “Gerry was distraught now. He was on his knees, sobbing, his head hung low. “We’re finished. Our life is over,” he kept saying over and over again”.

Could it have been when they were trying to obtain the Leicester Police files - which IIRC they were refused?

Re: Any one remember this comment?
This was Ian Woods of Sky News questionning them.
IW: "Looking back, I mean, did you see anything suspicious in the days leading up to her abduction? Did you notice anything? Have you been racking your brains to try and think whether people might have been watching?"
KM: "We didn't."
GM: "If we did we wouldn't tell you because it may be important information, but we didn't."
Lots of interesting stuff on this about the various interviews they have done, how they fail to answer the
questions put to them etc.,

Always got me this quote - how it was only made when they thought they were going to be arrested - not when Maddie went missing

Yes, they were fishing for information and it was a televised interview.
