There's also a link to the independent review of the Fund (it stinks as much as rotten sea bass) for anyone who hasn't seen that yet.

"Rachael had found a couple of criminal lawyers in London she was sure could help us. Michael Caplan and Angus McBride of Kingsley Napley had worked on several high-profile cases, including the Pinochet extradition proceedings and the Stevens inquiry. Gerry gave them a call. They discussed Madeleine's case in detail, what had happened so far and how Kingsley Napley might be able to assist us."
That would be the same Angus McBride that DEFENDED paedophile Chris Langham............and LOST!
Now why would ANYONE hire a solicitor ( from the 'fund' money ) that defends paedos when you (the McScams) have spouted to the whole world that PAEDOS have 'abducted' your child?
Why not hire (from the 'fund' money) a solicitor that PROSECUTES paedos, not one that DEFENDS them!?
Bit weird innit?

and I shouldnt have thought that those who donated to the 'Fund' would be happy at the thought
that their money is going towards hiring a solicitor to get paedos off!

"Angus McBride trained in London before working in criminal defence in Bristol for eight years, returning to London to join Kingsley Napley in 1999. In Bristol he ran a Legal Aid practice defending allegations of serious crime including rape, robbery, manslaughter and murder. Since then he has defended numerous high profile criminal prosecutions and become one of the country's leading defence lawyers with an unprecedented practice and a reputation for tenacity and excellence. He specialises in all aspects of criminal defence in particular general crime work which has included the representation of politicians, financiers, members of the UK royal household, government officials, actors, entertainers and sports stars

How anyone can defend a pedophile is beyond me no matter how much pay packet there is at the end off it.

Its a fact of life, that all criminal suspects are
entitled to a fair and equal defence no matter
how unsavoury the crimes or criminals. Like it
or loath it, it is down to the evidence, and the
quality of the prosecution to convict. I would
imagine that defence lawyers need to seperate
their private emotional bias from their professional
objectiveness, in order to provide a proper defence
against an equally made prosecution within a
court of law. Therefore, if we didn't have these
defenders, and well paid at that, law and order
would be impossible.

It's a long read , but worth it . This is one example of the lies:
Mr John McCann
Mr John McCann was one of the first directors and resigned on 23 July 2010. According to media reports he resigned his fulltime job very shortly after his niece disappeared to work full-time for the Fund. The official McCann website states that 'none of the directors have taken any money from the fund as remuneration.' Can you confirm that no salary or fees were paid to Mr John McCann for the period he was a director
John McCann continued working for AstraZeneca for a couple of years.

Re: "The Lie of the Land" by Dr. Martin Roberts
That could be a misunderstanding on the part of the media Panda. It was assumed that John McCann had left his job permanently whereas I think it is more likely that he took extended leave. If it was unpaid leave we're left with the question of how he supported himself and his family but, in the absence of definitive information, we are left in the dark as Kate would say.

Morning NBY, John McCann announced he was giving up his job, not the Media, I remember seeing the interivew. If he didn't draw any fees from the Fund it was because he was still working for Astrazeneca. When he resigned along with Doug Skehan I thought that was significant and probably due to
the appointment of Smethurst as a Director of NSU ......he is the Corporate Lawyer for Kennedy's Companies.

Thats quite right Marxman and on the rare occasions that I needed to use one, I can't say that I have asked for information on all his past cases in order to judge whether I find each client acceptable or not because lets face it, where do you draw the line ?

Completely agree. And whilst scum sweep their grubby deeds under the carpet it's the poor kids who continue to suffer.
How anyone can sleep or live with that on their conscience is beyond me. I could not stand by and let it happen.
