Thanks for the information Panda. It seems like the " Gruesome Twosome" can fall into a pile of horse manure and emerge smelling of roses.
I would have thought that the fact the child had "disappeared" was more than enough proof of harm, she was 3 years old not a runaway teenager. Three tiny children left alone night after night whilst the parents enjoy their "me time", which they enjoyed most of the day too, and a judge doesn't see this as neglect ! It sounds as if he too had been paid off or scared off, and it is quite beyond me as to why the powers that be never seem able to see through the Mccanns lies and continually changing stories.
Hi mara_thon, I think the term "causing harm" might mean if Madeleine was "abducted" and ill treated by her Captors or found dead somewhere. Unless they can find Madeleine alive or dead no judgement can be made.

Or maybe the treatment took place in Holland because Kate McCann did not have a formal diagnosis, simply a GP's best guess about the problem.

I'm not clued up about infertility but often when couples have treatment , they conceive naturally a few years later. so
the problem was kate's not Gerry's. do you think they saved eggs from the Holland treatment and used them in the U.K. ? I'm not sure they would qualify for free treatment under the NHS .
It does make you wonder AnnaEsse how they could be so careless on that holiday when they were obviously desperate to
have children .

The first treatment took place in Birmingham. No idea why. That was for Maddie.
They had free IVF in the Netherlands when Gerry was doing a course on MRI at the hospital there. That was for the twins.

Thanks tigger, I thought it was the other way around , Madeleine would have only been a few months old so to go to Holland seems odd. There was only 20 months age difference between Madeleine and the twins so Kate would have conceived when Madeleine was only 11 months old.

Re: McCanns interview on Irish T.V.
I just think that as doctors they could get some sort of preferential treatment, a favour or two, courtesy of the NHS. If Kate had had a proper diagnosis, why didn't she say she had to get surgery. Or, was it that her doctor gave her the results from surgery? If that were to be the case though, it would not be her GP diagnosing her, he would just simply be giving her some test results. So, I think they leapfrogged the system because they were in a position to. I am sure there is a type of corruption in the NHS as well as anywhere else. But just in case questions are ever asked, there is a condition that causes infertility and Kate claims she has it. I think its more than likely she wanted to have a career first and foremost and have children afterwards. She was past her best fertile years. There is a very high percentage of women who have to turn to types of fertility treatment just because they chose a career path first. I'm not against that, no way, good luck I say if you can have both, but what I don't like is when they claim they have been yearning for children for years and years without success and had to finally resort to treatment. Its their careers they were yearning for. Good for them though that science has moved on so that they can have the best of both worlds.
