Re: NZ report revives hunt for Madeline McCann
They have no shame almostgothic, how did this latest sighting happen to come from New Zealand at this particular time?? Who made it public? It's just like the sighting in India which the Police, like in NZ were quick to repudiate .

The woman said the girl had the same rare eye defect as Madeleine, and she felt obliged to contact police in the slim chance it could be the missing girl, Fairfax reports.
Rare eye defect'? What rare eye defect? According to the parents it morphed into being simply a fleck some time ago... or was it a speck?

Re: NZ report revives hunt for Madeline McCann
According to Anorak, "Madeleine McCann spotted in New Zealand for fifth time". There were four previous "sightings" in 2010. There is one comment from "Maxine", which reads in part "....Even though we've got "swarthies" here it weren't none of us."

Re: NZ report revives hunt for Madeline McCann
did you do that matthew.....excellent.
The latest sighting has been printed in The Telegraph,an upmarket Newspaper not known for getting involved in the McCann trivia ......is this the start of something BIG???
Does anyone know whether the latest sighting has been printed in the Sun, Daily Mail or Express etc.....the usual stalwarts guaranteed to print any trivia CM gives them.

This does seem to be the only British paper to have run the non-story so far.

Re: NZ report revives hunt for Madeline McCann
Thanks NBY,
I remember reading a long, long, time ago an Article posted on 3a's from Matthew Parris the then Editor of the Spectator.
He said if ever it was established without doubt that Madeleine had not been abducted , the Press would turn on the McCanns with a vengeance.

Re: NZ report revives hunt for Madeline McCann
OT means off topic.
I thought that the images in Matthew's avatar are the same person; if so, is it someone I should recognise - but don't?
Sorry for continuing off topic!

Ah that explains it - I always have trouble recognising those two, particularly Nick Clegg!
It's probably my age, poor old soul.

I remember that "vengeance" remark too. I also remember on the old Mirror Forum someone, who knew someone in the U.K. police, posting that most policemen believed Madeleine was dead and her parents involved. The dogs have verified for me that she is dead and I'm waiting for that vengeance attack. I do find it odd that the tabloids didn't print anything about the latest NZ "sighting"; not something the DM usually passes on.
