Hi halfamo......can you think of any Mother whose daughter has gone missing when asked in a televised interview why , when the people of PDL searched until the early hours of the morning, while she never, says "well we were busy".!!!!!! Can you also think of any other Father who flew to London to set up a Company to raise money to search for his Daughter , AND bought t-shirts, wrist bands Holiday Packs etc to raise more money.???? With a £2 million reward offered by the NOTW you wuld think that would tempt a snitch but no, not one single attempt to claim the reward.

Gerry didn't return to the U K till late May (from memory) by which time the company was already set up, thanks to various colleagues and relatives rushing around like blue-a*sed flies.

It was on his return to PDL that the famous "last photo" at the poolside miraculously appeared. Hmmmm.........

The employment of this group and Halligen is the key to proving the fund is not all it seems, IMO. Whilst there are many aspects to the fund that are questionable, many of them will be proved to be technically legal within the guidelines of company accountancy practice. They might be ethically or morally wrong, but legal in some way I bet.

However employing people with no proven track record in finding missing people is a big red flag. It is not as if they are hard to come by, it is a common enough profession, so why were these employed ? The McCanns were clued in enough to hire libel lawyers for their own libel trials, they did not inadvertently hire conveyancing solicitors on the recommendation of a friend. No, they got the right men for the job in hand.

I suppose the danger was if they hired a firm who knew what they were doing they might have actually found Madeleine, and that would be a disaster.

I think the public were hoodwinked into thinking the Fund was to search for Madeleine. Initially, the McCanns were told that you cannot have a Fund for one child which is why they set up the Company, then the Charities Commission said it was acceptable but the Company remained although 20% tax is paid . John McCann made a bigf announcement as Chairman that the Fund would be run on "Good Governance guidelines".......who was he kidding? Yhis is the Man who boasted yhat he was going to work full time for the Fund, but did not give up his job at Astrazeneca until 2 years later.

What surprised me was the meeting in Portugal between the Police, Brian Kennedy and the Senior Detective from Metodo 3.......very unorthodox , Brian Kennedy certainly had his nose in everything , I don't believe for one minute that he paid for all these Detectives. In fact, when Clarence and Gerry approached the Board of NO Stone Unturned with the proposal to employ Metodo at a cost of £300,000 for a six month investigation , the Board were reluctant but G and C won the day.
Now compare this with the E164,000 Metodo say they received.

As per the above link, the Metodo3 gave the PJ a small book
which provided three pieces if info, but what do you think of
this first item as described,
1. In the first case, we observed that there was report of facts which occurred in August/September of 2006, and which appears to us somewhat extemporaneous, as it cannot now be related to the material under investigation.
