Daily Star: "Maddie mum in sad trip"
From Tuesday's Newspaper Fron Pages - "Maddie mum in sad trip" - article not yet on line.
I wonder if she returned to Portugal for the prayer vigil to be conducted by her friend, the wife of the clergyman (can't remember the surname).

I'll bet she is considered persona non grata by the locals.

I hope Robert Morat stays safe; didn't she say at one point she wanted to murder him.

The 'sad trip' is reported on in the Mirror too. Apparently she's made the 'pilgrimage' to Portugal alone, after 'collapsing in tears' at the memorial service the other day, because she feels close to Madeleine there.

Old picture ...so we dont know if she actually did go and why is she continually leaving the twins?
When Kate McCann was talking about 'sleep overs' I wondered how she got to know about this, she doesn't meet any off the mums as she puts the twins on a school bus every morning.

For me the trip is an excuse. The McCanns always have a material reason to do things and not a spiritual one.She is probably there to meet their lawyer or for legal reasons.

Pity Gerald couldn't take time off for the 'sad trip'.
He manages to take time off for other things, like ranting for Hacked Off for instance.
Anyways, as previously noted, these Portugal trips are sometimes cover for liaisons with lawyers. (I picture Duarte creeping in the back door with big sunglasses and a false moustache).
Are the Hubbards still knocking around after their PdL vigil? She usually stays with them.
Will she be going round to Murat's place to tell him to STFU in the Sunday Express?
Will there be more mysterious activities in PdL at DAWN?
I think we should be told ......

It's a pink reaction to the Murat article.
We had a story saying they should go back for a reconstruction. Now a headline saying Kate is going back to PDL. O.k., not for a reconstruction but it sends a subliminal pink message to the unsuspecting public that she is not afraid to return.

From the Mirror:
"It is a private trip alone, away from the spotlight, and a time for quiet reflection. She still has a lot of friends there.”
Well whenever I'm going to do something in private, I always instruct my PR spokespoodle to tell everyone about it in the Mirror and the Star.
I mean, doesn't everybody?

That's the only true thing she's ever said since day one.

Re: Daily Star: "Maddie mum in sad trip"
The Mccanns are using the anniversary of their daughter's disappearance (which they were responsible for) to promote their agenda. If this trip by Kate McCann is, "a private trip alone, away from the spotlight", how come the media knows all about it?

Re: Daily Star: "Maddie mum in sad trip"
so, according to the Mirror
Kate McCann yesterday flew to the resort where she last saw daughter Madeleine as a friend revealed: “She feels close to her there.” She made the lone journey three days after collapsing in tears at a prayer service at her home village to mark the sixth anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance.
Which means that the trip was either pre-planned..
... or after finding it all too emotional on Friday evening she is able to flight out to Portugal on the following Monday having arranged a plane ticket, somewhere to stay and someone to look after the twins while she is gone. Not impossible, but far from easy either.
I think the trip was planned a while back - and that it has zero to do with making a 'sad pilgrimage'.

Re: Daily Star: "Maddie mum in sad trip"
There is no doubt in my mind the trip was planned in advance. Mrs. Hubbard, the wife of the Anglican minister, announced to her local newspaper in Canada, that she (Mrs. Hubbard) was going to go to Portugal in May to conduct a prayer service for Madeleine. My simple deduction was that since she would be travelling from Canada to Portugal, surely Kate MCCann would be there for the service as well.
