More times than I care to remember Karen! 

If Scotland Yard, had any intention of going to Portugal, they would have sorted out the legal aspects of the case, with the Portuguese Authorities, as soon as they discovered that there were people they needed to speak to, regarding Madeleine's disappearance. If and it's a big if, there are any people living in Portugal, who may know something about Madeleine's disappearance, I feel sure they would have spoken to the PJ, when Madeleine first disappeared.

If on the other hand, these people have had a hand in Madeleine's disappearance, they will have scarpered by now. Maybe they're living in Rothley Towers, with the McCanns. They'll be safe there, because no detective, will dare set foot through the McCanns garden gate, let alone their house. If they try, they'll have Bernard Hogan-Howe, David Cameron and Theresa May to answer to.

Thats fantastic news that they're making progress at last and even sending an elite squad of detectives this time to pursue the new leads.
I anticipate arrests will follow very soon.

Anybody would think there was a big libel trial coming up or something.

As for the non-story, it's the silly season with not much news, hence another regurgitated McCann story. Mind you, it's silly season the whole year round with them.

It's a pity the Express didn't show this photograph of the McCanns.

Kathybelle, as mentioned recently on another topic, that photo is a hoax. I know it's very difficult to tell the difference between spoofs and the McCanns' accepted standards of behaviour!

Morning N.B.Y. I'm not disputing what you say, but how do you know the photo was a hoax?

Oh, Dirty Des has a memory like an elephant.  Never forgives and never, ever forgets.  And he wants his £500,000 back.

This was the part the leapt out at me.  More so than the photographs, even.  

Crucially, there have been inquiries with several other countries, although the Yard is keeping the details strictly confidential.

Speaking of the investigation, legal sources said last night: “We are on track.”

So I take it that the McCanns are not being kept up to speed and they should be expecting that knock on the door very, very soon.

As he launched the new inquiry last month, Mr Redwood said: “The review has given us new thinking, new theories, new evidence and new witnesses. We remain committed to finding out what happened to Madeleine. Everything we do is utterly focused on her best interests.”

He's maybe not as daft as he looks, after all.

The photoshopped coloboma photo is pretty prominent as well. Even though Kate is now trying to play it down as "just a fleck".
