The judge needs to ask, if GA's book really did hinder the search how come one of the world's leading police forces is looking into the case, something which they won't do for parents of other "missing" children.

they could both go to PDL and start to replace the 10,000 posters that were torn down, as Gerry told his mate, and they could even search the lawless villages around PDL for the dungeon lair where Madeleine is waiting patiently, as the only professional PI they 'employed' told them, after doing the only proper investigation into her 'abduction'.

Yes - it sounds like GMcC is 'hoping' to address the defamation part of this libel hearing where the rest of the witnesses seem to have only talked about the 'damage'.

That's how it works in the UK. If someone is claiming damage to health by a particular event, they have to produce medical records from before the event and after the event to show that a medically qualified person considered their health had suffered and also that there wasn't a pre-existing condition.

Did you spot the deliberate errors??? Michael Wright is married to Kate's Cousin and it is Jon Corner....................tut tut DM!!!

I think Gerry is going to try to salvage their claim against Amaral, he and Clarence have got together because they know the Judge is not too impressed with the Witnesses to date. Gerry thinks he can save the day but he will have to watch his temper .

I don't know why the Complainants have to get permission to defend their claims in Court, seems a bit odd, but this is the couple who didn't even want to go to Portugal initially , preferring to use a videolink.

Pretend your'e the Judge and think of two questions you would ask the McCanns , mine would be:-

1. Since there have been numerous sightings around the World since Amarals Book and video were published, what makes you believe they hindered the search for your daughter?

2. Why have you included the twins in your claim when they were at such a young age when Madeleine went missing that they would hardly have suffered?

Pretending i'm a judge: " Mr McCann, there are suspicions that you sedated your three children, nightly, do you have anything to say about that?"

Of course, now GM has some time on his hands in Lisbon, he and Duarte can go round the judge's office and put in a formal application to be heard on one of the later dates without fear of impinging on any time restriction for said application.

That's what I thought. Suppose it could be a ploy to postpone it, but seems a bit of a sick thing to say if not true.

For the first time after all these years I'm just beiginning to lose heart... I don't think I can keep up with it... at least for a while.
Yesterday I joined the Justice Forum which seems to be a very worthwhile outfit, but I think the twists and turns of this case are leaving me played out...
