Surely there were would have been news reports and the 'trolls' would have been highlighted.
I recall nothing of that nature. It would stick in our minds...no question...if the forum had been referred to in the news.
Anyway...what does it have to do with Goncalo's book?

Scroll down to the post just above the pic of Kate and Sean and there's an example of some fairly vile bile from a 3a's poster.... for example.

Wintabells, what you haven't told us was that Sylvie02 was later outed and banned as one of the founder members of Helping To Find Madeleine.Wintabells wrote:http://forum.viva.nl/forum/Actueel/Amarals_boek_over_de_verdwijning_van_Maddy/list_messages/46658/2

There were a few members on 3A's (so called 'anti's') whose motives were very suspicious indeed! I can remember reading posts whereby I thought Team McCann would definitely leap on what was being said, and use it to boost their pity party, which they invariably did.

The 3As website had to fight off hackers from Skipton on a number of occasions. Just saying. One one occasion they almost got at the root password.dutchclogs wrote:Wright was the monitoring of web pages and emails

I have no idea what this Dutch forum is about, all I did was note that they seem to be discussing a post, written in English by a regular member of the 3a's, apparently copied from the 3 arguidos forum, which appears to make a veiled threat to KMcC. I have no idea who Sylvie02 is/was nor the implications of this person being 'outed and banned'. I'm not going to copy and paste the post here, but I can't continue to agree that threatening posts weren't made on the 3arguidos website, having seen the one I've linked to in my earlier post. The end.

There certainly were some bizarre posters on the old 3As, that much is not in dispute. But what did happen was that they were shut up fairly quickly, either by other posters or by the mods. And there was more than ample proof that the 3As was infiltrated by members of Team McCann, and the equally sinister HTFM, of which Sylvie02 was one.

Horrible things were posted on the 3 As, without a doubt, and even I remember it and I wasn't exactly a prolific poster. And Bren was responsible for all of it which is incredibly ironic. I don't remember, however, anything about a plan to kidnap anyone.

I agree with what you are saying wintabells, all the people who have posted and said they didn't see it, I believe as I was on there and I didn't see it. however, there were times when some people went way over the top and usually other posters reported things and the the moderators dealt with it, usually by deleting the thread and banning the poster. that's how I recall things, other may recall things differently.

Most forums will have some members with radical views and i have seen some quite bizarre theory's.The 3a's was well moderated to my memory.
There is no doubt that the mccann agents infiltrated these forums with the aim to disrupt and spread misinformation.
There were certainly some idiots but no one daft enough to think what has been suggested would be a good idea.
Just think about it.
It is best to ignore the mccann propaganda machine.

Re: Daily Mail/'Anti-McCann' websites plotted to kidnap one of Madeleine's siblings 'to find out what they knew about her disappearance', court hears
Hi Iris. But the threatening post quoted in the Dutch forum (see my earlier post) was not made by Sylvie02, but a regular 3a's poster. The post quoted is probably the kind of thing which the McC's are (justifiably) upset about and there does appear to be a record of it.Iris wrote:There certainly were some bizarre posters on the old 3As, that much is not in dispute. Yes Wintabells, nobody is disputing that. Whenever there is a forum that does not have prior moderation, there is always the chance that some nutter is going to write something bizarre, and the chance that someone will see it and screenshot it before the mods have the chance to remove it. And the 3as did have it's share of nutters. But they were usually removed quite quickly IIRC. I have still to see any proof of any threat to kidnap the twins and if the McCanns really did think it was that serious, then there should be proof. Instead, we have Michael Wright who is apparently not even interested enough to find out the outcome. None of it adds up.

Re: Daily Mail/'Anti-McCann' websites plotted to kidnap one of Madeleine's siblings 'to find out what they knew about her disappearance', court hears
I am assuming a 'plot' by definition usually would involve a conspiracy involving more than one nutter and that it would also have to involve some intent ! Not to mention that in the context of the current trial this 'plot' was conceived as a result of Amarels book.
Also i seem to recall that most members believed that the twins were very sound asleep and in no fit state to act as expert witness's which is what is being suggested !
I do hope at least the judge can see how ridiculous that is.

On TMCF, a poster who was a mod on the 3A is sure that is not true. She posted today:
"As a former 3A mod, I want to write the court / Amaral's legal team to state categorically and on record that I never saw a 'kidnap plot' while participating or moderating that forum, nor was I ever told by any of the other mods/admin about this alleged plot.
There was never a single word about police contacting the forum, no request for ISPs - NOTHING..."

That's because there was never any such thread, or any such "plot", and I hope the hacks who are reading this forum go back and report that fact to their bosses.
