Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
..has just been on, slagging off David Cameron.
"When he had to choose between Murdoch and the McCanns, he chose Murdoch".
You mean there's a difference?
He seems to think that the McCanns are some sort of underdog or national treasure. Which just goes to show how out of touch he really is with the average UK citizen. If he's expecting the great British public to vote for him on the basis of sympathy for the poor, downtrodden, woeful McCanns, then he is completely deluded.
And that little gem has probably cost him a huge wodge of votes. Well done Ed. I bet David Cameron is peeing himself with laughter in front of the telly.

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
I've never been convinced that he's leadership material.
The Labour Party chose the wrong guy IMO.
The day will come when he will regret that statement.
In any case, he's just lost my vote.

More evidence that the mccanns have no Tory allies.Iris wrote:..has just been on, slagging off David Cameron.

More evidence that millipede is a prat.
The traditional left vs right is gone. Liblabcons are all the same and merely look out for the interests of the others in their elitest networks.
I wish there was a political party of people with honesty, integrity and real life experience but there is none.
In protest I'm voting UKIP and wil justify it as being a libertarian.

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
lioned I can agree with you on that. I vote every opportunity there is because the vote for women was hard won. having said that, im so disenchanted with all the political parties, theyre all money grabbing, disingenuous, with little real interest in the general public. I d just like to see this country is on its feet, with the NHS, doctors, nurses etc holding appropriate qualifications in sufficient numbers that there are no lists, etc and with many getting work at a living wage, before we give aid to other countries. then when we are good we would be better placed to aid those less fortunate. jimo.

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
I heard that on Radio 4 and couldn't believe what he was saying. Went into the office later and decided to ask if anyone was following the Lisbon trial. What trial? Who? Someone said "Oh, the McCanns, didn't they leave their children on their own in a hotel?" I have no way of knowing how representative the bunch of people in our office are, but no one there seemed to be carrying the belief that the McCanns were a national treasure worthy of mention in parliament.Iris wrote:..has just been on, slagging off David Cameron.

My uncle was an engineer in a steel foundry, a union man and a Labour man all his life. What he believed in is long gone.
Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
Too right, Anna.
Most of the current Labour elite wouldn't recognise socialism if it bit them on the leg.
And we all know about Little Ed's cosy relationship with Hacked Off.
Deals done over pizza in the witching hours in Ed's HoC office.
Pah!

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
He's an opportunist politician.
He spots what he thinks is a populist bandwagon and jumps on it.
But because he's not up to speed with what's going down at street level, he doesn't even know that the wheels dropped off the McCann bandwagon miles back up the road.
And there's a dead horse hitched up at the front, but Miliband is flogging it ...

Note to Ed - don't mention the McCanns!
Take a look here - even Clarence Mitchell doesn't mention the McCanns!

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
Ed the Eejit was interviewed on Radio 4 this morning and I've just heard comments on that, again on Radio 4. Didn't pick up who it was commenting on the interview, but the gist of it was that Ed was confident with his scripted speech at the conference, but there were long pauses in his Radio 4 interview.almostgothic wrote:Too right, Anna.

Ed is not a socialist. He believes in the power of the competitive market and that's what he's bargaining on in his bid to freeze energy prices.
Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
Not sure what he is Anna except for being an idiot. Apart from scrapping the bedroom tax, putting up the minimum wage (which will only encourage small companies to employ people on the side because they can't afford it) The energy business, which will never come off. More tax. I am still not sure how he is going to turn round the economy like he keeps saying. All I ever here him do is slag off other parties and insult people. Not exactly vote catching is it?

What exactly did he say about the McCann's? I saw him posturing on the news, acting like the saviour and insulting David Cameron but I did not hear him mention the McCann's or was that on Radio4?

Re: Eddie the Eejit on News at Ten
Fuzzy, it was on the BBC News at 10. If you can get iPlayer you will be able to see it. He was going on about the "wrong" choices DC has made and then he said, "When it was a choice between Murdoch and the McCanns, he chose Murdoch" meaning that he chose the Evil Baddie over the saintly parents, and we are all supposed to empathise with that. I saw him on Breakfast TV today, trying to run a campaign based on his "personality" ( ) with his artificially whitened Hollywood grin and I just thought - I've got a letter needing posted.fuzeta wrote:What exactly did he say about the McCann's? Thank you for that Iris I missed that bit. I probably switched myself off. I remember saying to my husband "how long are they going to keep him on for?" His reply was "well it's the BBC isn't it"Iris wrote:Fuzzy, it was on the BBC News at 10. If you can get iPlayer you will be able to see it.
