There again, the twins class mates may have popped into the local bookshop, and got a copy in there.

Hi Jean, I agree it's absurd the way it's been spun. But it's highly likely some parents are knowledgeable of the books contents, and the film is easily available on the internet complete with English subtitles. It wouldn't take much for information to end up in the school playground, after a child heard his/her parents discussing Goncalo Amaral's theory based on the files, or that they didn't believe the McCanns story. Of course I'm sure the parents' minds were all made up long ago regarding the gruesome twosome.

THE ONLY REASON those 8 year olds were 'discussing' this case is because Kate wanted this court open. It was the LURID HEADLINES IN OUR PRESS that caused the chat. Do they honestly believe a class of Leicester junior school kids have read a book in Portuguese. ? No of course not.
As everyone else has said...they brought this on themselves. You can't claim your celebrity fifteen minutes and then complain about it.

Dear Portugal. RE: The #McCanns

On the day that Gonçalo Amaral takes to the Courts in his defence of the Libel Action brought by the parents of missing girl Madeleine McCann, might I make a plea.

I do not know, exactly, what "deal" was brokered between our Countries that allowed two Arguidos, suspects in the disappearance of their missing daughter, to flee back to the UK.

I do not know exactly why the British MEDIA only report on this case according to the Editorial policy which is dictated to them.

I also do not know why or how such unprecedented political entanglement and involvement was allowed to take place at the VERY highest levels of Government.

Further, I do not know why there is a clear, concerted and orchestrated policy of attacking, refuting and derogating that evidence which suggests an alternative scenario to the "abduction" assertion as made by the McCanns and their wealthy, powerful and hugely influential team.

I also do not know why there is an equally clear, concerted and orchestrated policy of attacking, refuting and derogating anyone who refuses to believe and accept what is, ostensibly, a fabricated sequence of events relating to Madeleine's disappearance.

What I DO know, is that the case of Madeleine McCann is so VERY much more than a case of a missing girl..........

Whatever crimes that took place involving Madeleine must not be allowed to forever remain unsolved.

For these are crimes that threaten to alienate and divide two countries, whose shared beliefs, mutual respect and loyalty is, since 1373 the oldest alliance in the world.

The truth MUST prevail; for the sake of both countries, for Madeleine McCann and for us all.

I wouldn't be surprised if this cases is halted. I just can't see Mr Amaral or his witnesses getting a say. When is the next date. I've asked before but nobody seems to know.

yes well they don't always get their own way. what this reporting in the uk has done is to tell people what the book contains and has garnered an interest in people wanting to find out what they can about it, especially as it is often mentioned that the book contains what is in the PJ files.

so are they doing this in collaboration with the PJ or don't they need them now. Now that things don't seem to be going too well for the McCs, I wonder who decided to issue this now and make a Crime Watch programme for the 14th. October., I shall watch that with interest. Where will the Crime Watch reconstruction be held. is it in PdL. ETA to delete some and add some.
