It's so difficult to imagine a face as long and as sour, actually breaking out in a smile...
It brings one to wonder why he persists in his job if he's being treated as a glove puppet... (glove puppet description borrowed from kitti).
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you Mr Redwood, may you be successful in your chosen profession in the coming year.

I shall be very embarrassed if it transpires that he has some horrible medical condition!

Re: Andy Redwood...?
Andy, time to get back to work!
Is it a good idea for the mccanns to be promoting the innocent 'tannerman' on their website as 'someone of interest'?
Not really helpful to the investigation is it,having an innocent man as the focus of an investigation, how many times do you have to be told ?
Oh yes and Smithman looks very much like gerry so you might want to have a word.

Re: Andy Redwood...?
How Redwood or any copper worth his salt can stand by and justify grossly old misleading information to be aired at will is astounding. he must have really pi$$ed his boss off to be given such a poisoned chalice towards the end of his career.

I wonder if Scotland Yards finest are that worried they could end up looking like a bunch of muppets !
Risking your career and reputation to help protect a couple of insignificant doctors who couldn't care for their kids properly,is it worth it ?
All those complicit in any cover up will be called to account one day.

Perhaps Deadwood could have a word with dear old Katie and remind her that she ain't the queen and her message on the website ain't as important as the efits to find her beloved daughter .

Re: Andy Redwood...?
Good God. So they've still got Tannerman on their website?
Come on Andy - will you allow history to be rewritten AGAIN, that this is the suspect?
Perhaps the actual person Jane saw, that SY uncovered, supposedly, would object to having his efit sent around?
One wonders if this person never raised his hand before times, because he could see which way the wind was blowing. Just as Smith put his head below the fox hole after his visit by TM - no point rocking the boat, the direction has already been determined.
IF Redwood sees the real lay of the land and IF he is not happy with it, and IF it is a top down direction to find McCanns "innocent" in all regards, then I suspect we shall see him excusing himself from this "investigation" - for "personal reasons" - hang in there Andy and find what there is to be found.
Merry Christmas -

Re: Andy Redwood...?
I must say that Redwood is not looking very unbiased lately. I find it interesting that they find it so important to investigate every tiny little inconstency in any possible suspect's statements yet appear to overlook the glaring inconsistencies of the McCanns and T9's statements. Of course this is all based upon media reports, but I do find it strange that no mention is never made of the McCann and T9 inconsistencies, yet one small inconsistency of anyone else can lead to someone being named a suspect and having their name spread all across the media.

You are so right.
Madeleine doesn't need another self-important speech from the Queen of Grandiosity.
And what about the poor web surfer, who arrives on the official site to take a look at Mr Redwood's new, important e-fits, just in case he might recognise a face - and sees that the primary suspect is now a bl**dy Christmas tree with baubles all over it?
There'll be lots of sightings of these - possibly in every town square in Europe - but it's not helping any ......

Re: Andy Redwood...?
A festive tree was apprehended for questioning by police yesterday in Marienplatz, Munich.
After a gruelling interrogation the Maddie McCann suspect, known only as Herr Tannenbaum, spoke of his horror as he was forced to remove all his seasonal bling for an identity parade.
"It was crazy in there. It's happening to thousands of lookalike trees all over the place.
Well I'm here to tell you that I'm not guilty.
And right now I'm not glittery either ..."

Re: Andy Redwood...?
So Andy, following on from your Oscar winning performance on Crimewatch featuring your 'revelation' moments. In particular the very encouraging progress achieved by yourself and team of 35 Officers and staff.
Just a blinking shame it took you lot 2 years to find those Efits that you seemed so excited by.
Excellent work,well done.

Re: Andy Redwood...?
Yes, who are the bungling cops now? The PJ who were able to eliminate Tannerman from the inquiry within a few months, or Redwood and SY who took well over a year to find this "revelation"? It is really quite embarrasing to say the least.

About the review, here is a title on the Sun front page today:
"SCOTLAND Yard’s bill for its probe into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has topped £6million, The Sun can reveal.
In the last three months a major public appeal for information has pushed the cost of Operation Grange up by £1.64million — and the total is now likely to rocket to £10million-plus.

So, Britain's 'finest' are likely to spend £10 million to review 'evidence' already proven to be a tissue of knitted fog and duplicitous carp....

The shit will really hit the fan if amarel doesn't win next week.
£10 mill quid to eliminate 'Tannerman' and say Maddie may be alive or dead and kate and gerry are not suspects.
Not good enough Andy.
